    I love crab, but not crazy about lobster... too 'rich'. But I do love me some lobster bisque. Pure Cream? What's not to love???

    Well, I know this is a foreign subject for a yankee bar... but we watched the State Fair of Texas opening parade today at noon! Now I'm tired and need a nap! Good parade. As always, the Marine Corps Marching Band was my fav... followed closely by hunks on horseback from Medieval Times. Hubba-hubba!!

    Kimi took the day off to take Ruby out for an airing. If the weather's as beautiful there as it is here today... it's perfect for a ride!

    I've had a stressful...month so I called in sick today so I could do some schoolwork.
    By schoolwork I mean I had my hair done and went for a pedicure. Bought a new wine and made myself some pumpkin gnocchi.
    But I'm thinking of quitting my job, it's starting to get in the way of school, and at this point it's not worth the aggravation. My dad decided he wants me to go to law school, and told/threatened me that if I don't take the LSATs soon he'll stop paying my tuition.

    And if we're doing the Yankee thing, I'm a jersey stereotype. Take off from work because you need your hair done!

    If you don't have to work, by all means, concentrate on your studies. A law degree will open lots of doors for ya... listen to your Pa!

    That's what my mom said (she's also conservative, you'd like her).
    I like studying, but I do like having something to DO, if that makes sense. I'm OK with working evenings, so long as it's not every night. I'm not OK with getting home at 9 and having a paper due the next day (and man did I (*)(*)(*)(*) up my last paper, thank god my professor likes me).

    Maybe you could cut back on the # of days you work. That's not easy if they really need you there, but if you're persistent (and a good worker), they'll come around.

    You know...I had to repel 13 floors down in a straight jacket and roll all the way home. Anyway, here I am. Slightly bruised but managed to hold on to the deluxe meds. You know you would be surprised how people do not give the right of way to a person rolling down the street in a straight jacket. Bastards!

    So whats new? Love the Yankee bar. Where are the "flying robins" that we Yankees convince people that never tried them that they are extremely delicious and then sit back and watch them try them and puke. WOoooo Yankee bar fun!
