I grew up in the Midwest (Indiana) so I don't have any childhood Yankee stories (I'm certain that to Texans, Hoosiers ARE Yankees of a sort) but since moving to Boston I have a few fun stories.

I remember the X and I taking the Green Line into town with the kids, telling them we were going to "walk around" for a bit and then go to dinner. They would be psyched for possible shopping and food, but pretty soon they would notice the double red line of bricks in the sidewalk and realize they'd been hoodwinked into walking the Freedom Trail and listening to their dad read aloud from the tourists' handbook about all the history we were walking past. LOL, the whining and complaining!!! It's only 2.5 miles long and we never walked the entire length, but it sure would set them off if they even saw it for a block!

Another fun Yankee thing (I guess it's Yankee) has been going into Boston for fried seafood. And in the winter, walking to the Common and through the Garden and watching the ice skaters on the Frog Pond.

I'll try to think of some more stuff.

    Happy Monday everybody!!!! :sun:

Since she is busy, lets put our heads together and see how we can harass her, may be eating Cannoli and not leaving any for her, making citrus pie with orange instead of lemone, and hide da booze?
Oh, and singing this outa tune?

So, today I go down to the basement to pick up a taco salad (Mon special) from the Korean guy who runs the deli... and see this jar of mustard sitting in his 'fridge.

Do you think he knows about political correctness??

    (It's called RED BOY mustard)

Well the vacation is going just great. We just got back from the park again. There is so much to see that it takes a long time to see it all.

This picture I took on the back side of old faithful geyser. It will take you at least an hour to walk around all of the geysers there.

    .

And last but certainly not the least is old faithful in all of it's glory.

    More to come.

Man that coffee sure does sound good this morning. Nope no bears this trip. The only wild life we saw are these three guys. They just ambled along taking their sweet old time holding up traffic for about a half an hour. More later.

Awwww...hugs, Mary! My oldest son says football is dumb when our 'Boys lose. Then baseball is dumb when the Rangers lose....I'm guessing your Colts lost? I didn't keep up last night.
