Good to see you've abandoned the "Obama won't work with Republicans!" big lie. I guess some fabrications are too wild even for you.

Anyways, the point is that I use cold hard facts, and you deliberately ignore the facts, as you bogus table showed.

Why is it bogus? Because it assigns the effects of the Bush recession to Obama. Obama's policies didn't start taking affect until 6 months in. Prior to that, it was all Bush. An honest person would thus assign those numbers to Bush

You didn't, because you "feel" Obama should be held responsible for the catastrophic Bush employment numbers. 'Nuff said.

then & now, mamooth. Bought gasoline lately? Know anybody who's looking for a job? Underwater in their mortgage? Doesn't matter what Bush did... it's what Obama's done that's fresh on people's mind.

Nothing bogus about the chart... except when you try to blame everything on Bush. Might've worked in 2009... doesn't fly in 2012.

Your point of view is a little foggy, kilgram. All 3 of those outlets are strictly leftwing. At least American leftwing. And yes, we're fighting to keep our country from turning European leftwing. Check back in November and see how much progress we've made. ;)

What an irrational, feelings-based statement, revealing the wild partisan bias of the speaker.

Almost the entire national media is owned by extremely conservative corporations, and as a result the national media has an obvious heavy conservative bias. CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR -- they're all just milder versions of FOX. Forget 50/50, we liberals would be happy to get 25%, being that we have about 5% now.

Every day, a conservative constantly sees his/her POV on the news, on the radio, on billboards, in the paper, everywhere. The conservative is thus never challenged, constantly gets his/her biases reinforced, and thus never learns how to logically support their position. They just go along with the herd, because it feels right.

The liberal, OTOH, gets challenged at every step, learns to defend his own position, sees the flaws in conservative claims, and thus can easily point out the irrational, feelings-based nature of those conservative claims. That's why conservatives do so poorly when the playing field is level, like on message boards that don't censor.

Almost all conservative internet discussion forums will censor liberal opinions. Almost all liberal forums will not censor conservative opinions. 'Nuff said.

I don't think that's true. Bush really screwed things up. We'll still be feeling the effects for years to come.

It's like the country is a person and Bush got the country really fat by eating too much ice cream and avoiding any exercise. Now Obama's come along and he's got the country doing some push-ups and cutting back on the sweets, and you're blaming Obama for the fact that he hasn't just invented a magic skinny pill instead. There is no magic skinny pill (or rather there is, but it's worse for you than being fat). You have to do the push-ups, not eat the ice cream, and be patient.

And this isn't hard for people with families to understand. It's taking them years to dig themselves out of the hole Bush put them in, so it's not difficult to imagine that government lacks a magic wand as well. This is why Bush's policies were so irresponsible. There are some kinds of harm that take a long time to heal.

You don't think that's true because you support Barack Obama and don't want to see him get any of the blame.

Understandable... although nobody's buying it anymore.

Nope. While your feelings tell you such a thing is true, the hard data shows that by 54-29, Americans correctly assign the blame to Bush.

    http://live.washingtonpost.com/bush-economy-120118.html

If you don't stop relying on your feelings, 2012 is going to be a massacre for the GOP.

Look at you, proudly putting up that feelings-based map as your avatar. A rational person would have used an Obama vs. Romney state map, but that would have created a nearly solid field of blue. Therefore, you used the newfangled "Obama approval rating must be over 50% map". That's a statistical criteria which has never been used by anyone before. It was created as propaganda tool to make conservatives feel better. It makes you feel better, so you use it.

    ROFLMAO

Yes. Of course. This is why I cannot post on DU and DailyKos without getting my posts erased.

And I behave there as I do here: there is no swearing, seldom if ever do I engage in personal attack (and if I do, it's very cleverly concealed, and does not violate TOS - generally).

So no excuses. Your bolded statement is decidedly false.

Ah. Your biases got challenged, so you're flummoxed.

That confirms the point I made. Since they've never had their worldview challenged before, conservatives are kind of helpless in the face of such challenges.

Liberals take a dim view of personal responsibility. Who's at fault in a bad economy? The POTUS or a guy who retired 4 years ago?

Liberals tend to spend quite a bit of time convincing themselves that they've won an argument.

    7) Liberals give themselves far too much credit just for being liberal. To many liberals, all one needs to do to be wise, intelligent, compassionate, open minded, and sensitive is to BE LIBERAL. ...

    Ain't it so? ;)

    You didn't get the point.

I just was pretending to tell you that left/right depends of the point of view of the person. And depending where you are situated.

As an anticapitalist that I am, for me all the capitalist media is rightist. And that includes CNN, New York Times, El Pais, Publico(however this one Spanish newspaper would be closer to leftism and could be start to be considered leftist), Le Monde, BBC, Fox News, Intereconomia... Just ones more on the right and others more moderate, more centrist. And we can consider El Pais, New York Times, Le Monde, BBC as center right. But for a person that is far right that will look to them leftist, in the same way that for me are all rightist.

I understand left/right depends on one's point of view... but just because someone calls Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the Easter Bunny doesn't make it so.

My view is that of a conservative American... and I know liberalism when I see it. Which is often on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, NYT, etc.

There is no right or wrong... it's all opinions. ;)

    Because you feel it's true?

Given that you just described the attitude of yourself in regards to conservatism, it would appear you're projecting again. As is the case for all of your seven points.

How about you back up your wild claim that liberals claim superiority for being liberals? Me, I claim superiority over you for being rational, honest and consistent, not for being liberal. Liberalism is the result of a rational lifestyle, not the cause of it.

It won't matter. You _feel_ liberals are claiming superiority for being liberals, so you don't need any actual evidence.

I guess if the whole world is liberal in your view, you may be out on the fringe of society.

No. I considered that possibility, did a thorough self-review of my motives in holding this opinion, and came to the conclusion that it's not bias. I have no trouble blaming Obama for things.

The economic turnaround has been indexed to a policy turnaround.

Out of curiosity, what policy turnaround led to the economic turnaround?

Nah, you claim superiority because you're a liberal... just like it sez in the OP.

Thx for being such a good example. I think you've managed to hit all 7 points!

That is totally and completely untrue and you know it. He tried to work with the Republicans to the point he angered his own base by giving in on things he never should have given in on to try to get them to work together and they absolutely refused. All the Republicans know how to do is obstruct and say "No" to anything and everything. They SHOULD be sitting in the back of the bus IMO and prevented from sabotaging the country as a campaign strategy.

Can you tell me one single time the Repubs have EVER reached across the aisle since Obama has been in office? They demand concessions on legislation to weaken it to the point its useless and then vote as a block against it. And then run out to smirk to reporters that they're going to make sure Obama "fails" so they can win the next election. The only legislation they want to pass is something that will further enrich the wealthy and take away as much as possible from the middle and lower classes - and they don't care that they're taking it away from the people who support them as well as the "evil Liberals".

The author is Charles Krauthammer - one of the main cheerleaders for the Iraq invasion. He was so caught up in the lies and propaganda about how wonderful it was going to be that he said on Fox News one night that "Once we get in there, money (to pay for the war) will be no object". I don't count his opinion on anything as worth the paper it's written on. Seems to me he's pretty much reduced to offering opinions on Liberals which his readers all applaud in lieu of having anything worthwhile to say on anything else.

So is this your opinion or Krauthammar's? If it's yours, you sound like you know about as much about Liberals and reality as he does.
