    Given that the final ruling was still fluid and Roberts attempting to moderate, it could have well been to lock jurists in place, but all is speculative. It's possible it wasn't illegal.

    It would give the People more time to let Republicans know that we are fed up with the fascists and intend to kick them to the curb if Abortion is not codified as a right by November.

    Killing unborn babies indiscriminately is not a mark of a higher more advance democracy and your position is highly duplicitous in that you proclaim democracy but then oppose it when it comes to abortion.

    It's not private when there is another human being involved.

    I'm still trying to figure out what John Oliver thinks a 50/50 Senate (that actually contains 52 Republicans) is supposed to do here??

    But he is correct that Obama/Clinton didn't do enough when they had the numbers....

    This is distinctly out of right field for most people. The Court was rightist but this sudden imposition of Culture Wars on all of us is not something I saw as being indicated. Indeed, I was predicting the Judges would soon invalidate most of the anti-abortion laws in place now.

    It is time for the House to start packing the Court to save the country.

    If you fantasize that the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Canada, Australia, etc. "kill unborn babies" you are mistaken. In contrast, if you regard Iran, Egypt, Honduras, and El Salvador as enlightened, you are deluded.

    A woman discriminately making a personal decision to terminate her pregnancy before a fetus has developed into a viable human being, in consultation with loved one, and medical and spiritual advisers whom she trusts, is far preferable to authoritarian ideologues issuing their blanket edicts to her.

    I don't think that term applies to this situation.... I prefer rebalancing and it's more accurate too...

    Anybody who didn't see this coming the DAY McConnell made up some bullshit reason to avoid having a vote on Garland is completely out of the loop...

    ... which may be why no one is advocating "killing unborn babies" - certainly not the majority of Americans who support Roe v Wade.

    Are there any other private decisions that Americans have had the freedom to make for themselves for several decades that you want politicians to take away from them?

    And you still won't answer the obvious question. The left has the house, senate and presidency. Why aren't they passing a bill right now before the court issues it's decision. You can lock this up right now, why aren't they doing this. You can divert all you want but you know it, I know and anyone with a brain knows they are simply playing politics with women's right to choose. That's your party!

    I would be hard pressed to think of a greater sense of responsibility than deciding she doesn't want that fetus to be born into a person... Certainly, few men have to make choices of that importance in their lifetimes...
