target's"tuck friendly" swim suits

The Pride movement is specifically designed to celebrate homosexuality. It celebrates homosexuality to kids and adults alike when its message is around kids and adults. They even have kids sized clothing. Celebrating homoseuality is celebrating sexuality. How do you rationalize that celebrating sexuality is NOT sexual?

Snow White is a fictional Disney character. She is not defined as hetero or homosexual. She is just a woman. She is being shown on a t shirt because people like the movie. She is not being portrayed as a symbol of anyone's sexuality. She is portrayed as a woman. A kiss on her cheek is not a sexual reference. I have been kissed on the cheek by men and I am heterosexual. A kiss on the cheek is not sexuality. I have been kissed on the cheek by my mother. Kissing does not mean sexuality.

Hetero and homosexuals are just people. There is nothing wrong with people. There is something wrong with highlighting their sexuality in a mass market retail store such as Target. The store is free to do as they lease, and customers are free to respond how they see fit as a result of what they choose to do. I fail to see the problem here?

I didnt say that Pride is evil. I said that Target is not the proper venue to celebrate sexuality. People that practice BDSM are not evil either. Similarly, I dont think Target is an appropriate place to celebrate their existence.

 

Right, you’re comparing an adult bookstore to Target. Got it.

The difference of course being that Target is a huge store with only one little section for pride merchandise that can easily be avoided. No need for shielding of eyes as you put it.
An adult bookstore, other than the section where you apparently buy your “breath mints”, doesn’t have much in the way of appropriate sections for kids.

I think we’re a bit confused here. @Pycckia is the one who initially asked “why shouldn’t his morals dictate to others?” I responded to him with saying that there are other people in the world besides him. Then the poster you’re quoting at the start, which was actually @cd8ed there, said what he said and then Pycckia replied with “yes, that’s called civilization,” to which I responded with “no that’s actually called authoritarianism.”

Then afterwards you asked if laws against murder and rape are considered authoritarian, to which the answer is no because those are actual crimes all over the world. Being gay is not a crime, at least not in most places.
