Looking at the comments towards you everyone is having the same difficulty figuring out how anything related to the LGBT is sexual in nature to you while everything related to heterosexuals isn’t sexual.

I agree though, this is going in circles. I hope readers on the fence see this obvious line of cognitive dissonance and support the cause seeking to find representative existence vs the one that wants them to vanish (but they have gay friends so it’s “ok”)

Pride is celebrating homosexuality. That is its entire purpose, and it is celebrating their sexuality. In the proper forum, there is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating sexuality. Target is not the proper forum for celebrating sexuality.

If you wanted to point to a heterosexual BDSM group, you could say they are celebrating their sexuality, but clearly, Target is not the proper forum for that either. If you are just talking about heterosexuals doing everyday things on the other hand, well homosexuals do everyday things as well. A depiciton of a homosexual doing an everyday thing or a heterosexual doing everyday things, that is not a celebration of sexuality, it is just a person doing what people do. There is no problem with people doing what people do, but the moment that you single out those people specifically because of their sexuality, at that point, the entire discussion is about sexuality. Sexuality is the subject.

I fail to see what about this you find so difficult to grasp? Pride is a celerbation of Homosexuality. A celebration of homosexuality is a celebraton of sexuality. Celebrating sexuality is great in the proper place. Target is not the proper place.

Are beauty pageant contestants automatically heterosexual? Of course not. Therefore, it is a celebration of beauty, not sexual preference/sexuality. Nobody is telling homosexuals they cannot buy a bathing suit at Target. They are telling them we should not be celebrating their sexuality at Target. This is a significant distinction.

Playboy and Penthouse are examples of celebrating heterosexuality I agree with that. The problem for you though is that is an example of something that Target is not the proper forum for that and you will not find those things at Target. This only serves to support my point.

    No — it isn’t.

I don’t care what you have to say after this as your narrative is built on false information. Just because you associate all gay people with sexuality (but you don’t do this with heterosexuals) doesn’t make it factual.

Until you can get that basic fact right there is zero point continuing this with you.

I dont associate all gay people with sexuality. Gay people are just like everyone else. They do the same things that all of us do. Their entire existence is not sexuality, but when you celebrate them because they are homosexual and no other reason, which is what pride is, then you are making it about their sexuality.

Similarly, heterosexuals do the same things as everyone else. If you decide to focus upon their heterosexuality (which people almost never do), at that point you are focusing on their sexuality.

What about this do you find so difficult to grasp?

FWIW....You could make your font where each letter is the size of the page. It does nothing to make your argument correct.

You and people like you are the only one making it sexual. You are free to your own opinions, you are not free to have your own facts nor to define an event that you don’t care for so you can attack it out of existence.

It is singling them out because of their sexual preference.

What about this do you find so difficult to grasp?

I could single out a homosexual for being man of the year. I could single out a heterosexual for being man of the year. This is a celebration of the man of the year. Sexual preference has nothing to do with it. We could give a ribbon to a homosexual or a heterosexual for winning a spelling bee. That is a celebration of their spelling skills, sexual preference has nothing to do with it.

When you single out homoesexuals for being homosexual however, this is about sexual preference.

What about this do you find so difficult to grasp?

FWIW....It would not matter if you were to make the font where each letter was an entire page. The size of the font does nothing to make your position correct.

You are attempting to redefine a movement so you can attack it easier. That’s all that is happening here any it’s pretty obvious to everyone you are engaging with.

You can keep repeating it is a sexual event but the only people that will agree with you will be the ones already trying to ban them in some way.

It is not the proper forum to be celebrating sexuality. Whatever symbolism they use while celebrating sexuality is irrelevant.

I am just glad that neocons have finally embraced what they have secretly been trying to do for a generation — dictate to private companies their own morality.

As more people see this I hope to see more people, especially young people, turn away from American conservatism.

You are the one trying to redefine a movement. Pride is a shortened version of Gay Pride Parade, which has been held every year for decades to celebrate homosexuality and pride in their sexuality. The shortened name of Pride has been applied, and it is being pushed in Target as part of gay pride month.

Its ironic that you choose to quote some flowery language to pretend like this is not a celebration of their pride in being homosexual. It is great to be proud of being a homosexual. I am all for it. Its just that Target is not the proper forum for celebrating sexuality.

Then WHY did they cancel a parade in FL, if performing SEXUALLY in front of children isn't a thing? If PRIDE has NOTHING to do with sexuality, what are they afraid of? Its just a parade celebrating PRIDE, right? Because they KNOW its NOT just about that. There are no parades celebrating STRAITNESS, because there's NOTHING to celebrate. Its just people being people. What is it about PRIDE that compels people to perform sexually and parade sexual fetishes and even fake sexual acts out in public where children are INVITED? Its NOT about sexuality right? Anyone who's seen a PRIDE parade knows exactly what goes on. Obviously there are some where its G-rated, but most are NOT. YOU know what goes on at most of them. I've lived in FL for quite a while. I've seen PLENTY of PRIDE parades. I eat in small towns/cities where nearly everyone there is LGBT. WE know what goes on, so why beat around the bush? Don't FOOL ME about what sometimes is going on, because I have eyes and ears. There's video. SO MUCH VIDEO. I have my own home videos from 20+ years ago. Now TikTok supplies ENDLESS streams of it. All the evidence is there.

Personally, I certainly do NOT connect ALL gay people with the Trans agenda. I work with plenty who find it appalling and are quite rational about what is going on and can see how its been hijacked.

So all it takes is a statement that this is celebrating sexuality and that makes it verboten. Got it.

Sexuality is an R Rated or at least PG13 topic. Target is a G rated store. They dont discuss sexuality in a G rated movie. Nudity is not the only thing that means it is not G Rated. Swearing and/ or adult topics will do the same.

Sexuality is an adult topic. Not meant for general audiences.

Does it do so by providing sexy swimwear to heterosexual women?

No. Providing swimwear to all women is not the same thing as sexuality. Additionally, you seem to be asserting that hetero and homosexual women buy different bathing suits which is simply not correct.

Clothes can indeed be sexy, but there is a very clear and distinct difference between sexy and sexuality. Sexy is subjective. Declared homosexuality is not.

There are in fact bathing suits that would also be deemed to risque for Target, but at that point, I fear you are only confusing yourself by trying to conflate those as being the same thing.

They need to stick to being a G Rated store.

Are you honestly trying to assert that the left does not attempt to dictate the morality of private companies? Seriously?
