The Age of the universe?

The universe is expanding at an astonishingly rapid pace.......

Genesis chapter one, is correct in my opinion, but the English language translation of Hebrew presents us with lots and lots of problems.

Einstein's Theory of Relativity pertains to the age of the universe.......
We Theists tend to offend Agnostics and Atheists by our dogmatic and overly simplistic thinking as to exactly what was meant by what is written in Genesis.

It's disconcerting that you switch between religion and science at a sentence by sentence rate.

I don't believe all theists are "dogmatic and overly simplistic" in their thinking, but I agree those are not good traits when addressing any question.

Assuming Genesis is a physics manual is not a good starting point. It seems far more likely that it was written for the purpose of conveying religious principles.

 

I can see why this might tend to sound strange to you....

but I am convinced that The Bible is actually in line with physics... [but the translation from Hebrew to English leaves us with some misunderstandings that are difficult to avoid].

The fundamental assumption of the Bible is that there is a god of a specific description.

The fundamental assumption of physics is that we may observe.

That is a gigantic difference.

For example, your Robert Vander Maten says;

The 14 billion years comes from a plethora of actual measurements of our physical world that combine to suggest an age. Physicists fully recognize that this age may be wrong, as there could be observations which would suggest a change in that date.

The "God's perspective" side is that god says it is 6 days, so it is 6 days. After all, god said so.

There really is absolutely no way to suggest those two methods can be compared.

Serious rumour has it that the Book of Genesis was essentially shown to Moses / Moshe during one or both of those forty day periods when he was at the top of Mt. Sinai in the presence of The Being of Light of near death experience fame..... and he

simply wrote down what he was shown line by line.

This is one of the only logical ways to explain the off the scale implications of the hidden meaning

Which Epstein? The only Republican presidential candidate is Donald Trump. If he wins, we have a chance to receive support from the United States. If the Democrats win, there will be no such chance; the Israelis will have to act alone, and this will be much more difficult.

This is written in the Bible, the holy book of two billion Christians. Israel must fulfill God's word and build the Third Temple. The ear that was to be pierced had first heard the words of the law, where God commanded the Jews to come out of Egyptian slavery. Jesus taught us to be prepared to pluck out our right eye if that eye causes us to sin. With the right eye a person looks into this world, with the left eye a person looks into the spiritual world. With his right hand a person conducts affairs in this world, with his left hand a person does spiritual affairs. Therefore, the lesion in Trump's right ear indicates that his right ear was too ready to listen to speeches from this world. Hopefully, after God nailed Trump's ear to Heaven, his situation with listening to God's word will improve.

 

This is NOT how national borders are determined. If history is the issue, then NO borders of today are valid.

And, even though Joshua was helped by God to slaughter every man, woman, child in Jericho, our world of today does not tolerate that level of absolute criminality.

I'd also point out that the slaughter of Jericho was terrorism. The slaughter was intended as a political statement to other city states that they better surrender, or God would help Joshua extend his hand of genocide to them as well.

 

For this world, God is indifferent; equally, this world is indifferent for God. Therefore, when Israel fulfills the will of God as written in the Bible, the cries from the UN will have no force. This world has come to an end, and many can already see it from the madness of the authorities of this world.

Physically destroying homosexuals is a completely legal decision based on the law of God, but walking around Jerusalem with rainbow flags is blasphemy and lawlessness. And if people do not want to do the will of God as written in Scripture, then God has ways to destroy such people even without restoring the Sanhedrin.

Destroying hostile nations is normal practice when you shoot a bandit who broke into your house. An abnormal practice of humanity, which has gone crazy from false humanism, is when you, the victim, are forced to accept this bandit into your home and also pay him benefits. All these flirtations with multiculturalism and Islam will end with one people going to kill another people right inside their state, and the state simply stepping aside, unable to cope with anarchy. Jesus Christ spoke about this when he warned about the rebellion of one people against another. These are no longer wars, this will be true genocide - but this is exactly what has been done always and everywhere for thousands of years. And if humanity wants to avoid the literal physical extermination of all nations, then it must retreat in its war against God, allow Israel to build the Third Temple and allow the Jews to occupy the territory that the Lord God determined for them in the 47th chapter of the book of the prophet Ezekiel. Humans have no chance of winning the war against God.

Therefore, now Israel can take up arms and destroy all the occupiers who have occupied its territory, which is defined by the Holy Scriptures, and if there are nations that go to war against Israel, then they will all die. Perhaps this is how it will work out: Israel will first kill all its enemies, in Gaza, in Judea, in Samaria, in Lebanon, in Syria - and then build the Third Temple and receive there the chosen ones from the four winds. But it is possible to avoid mass death of people - if you build the Temple at the very beginning, now, and then all other nations peacefully fulfill the will of the Lord God, freeing for the Jews those lands that are indicated for the tribes of Israel in the Bible.

 

Yes, we SHOULD take serious the warning of Jesus concerning one people against the next.

Jesus brought a message of love and repeatedly demonstrated how we should treat out neighbors, foreigners, sexual offenders, the poor, nonbelievers.
