To the extent being an American ever comes into conflict with esteem for the Chinese, the Chinese go under the bus. I doubt you can make that claim. And that is the reason why it was foolish to hire a person of divided loyalties to work in the American defense industry.

I have no problem with you playing with a bull's lute. I just hope the bull doesn't wake up. :)

There you are again! You never seem tired of letting off your anti-Asian American rantings in the forum. I leave s002wjh and other Asian Americans to give you a better response.

It seems I have to keep on playing my lute until the bull wakes up. :bored:

    Good luck with that.

The reason you are offended is because your loyalty to China supercedes your oath of loyalty to America. I have simply drawn attention to the inconsistency. I see you as Chinese, not Asian American.

Does playing with your lute feel good?

Now the bull wakes up, spilling the same old nonsense about Chinese Americans.

Ask the bull whether it enjoys the music.

Chinese Americans are Americans before they are Chinese. I don't consider you an American because your loyalty to China takes priority over your obligations to America.

Bulls don't talk. But they are loyal to their herd.

Yes. In all likelihood, the aggressions China is making toward it's neighbors will result in some kind of conflict with the US. I'm sure everyone goes through intense screening before they get hired in defense, especially of they are foreign nationals. It would be counter-intuitive to hire a spy, or someone loyal enough to become one.

Experience tells us that sometimes the screening isn't effective. There have been too many cases of naturalized scientists and engineers who betray America. That's one of the reasons China is catching up with America militarily. The fedgov is aware of the problem. That's probably the reason the US jumped all over Wen Ho Lee. He was sloppy, but not a traitor.

Uh, not quite. The Chinese military is still decades behind the U.S. in many military sectors. They haven't even been able to design, build, and produce their own fighter jets from the ground up. They rely heavily on Soviet equipment provided by the Russians and several other countries. Sure, their booming economy means they have more money to spend on newer equipment. They still aren't anywhere near being comparable to the West or the U.S. in particular in terms of technology.

Did you have an intense screening of your Chinese wife before you married her?

Yes, they keep on mooing unintelligibly the whole day. Only their kind can understand them.

My parting shot to you: Don't ever get mad cow disease, otherwise the world will see more weird ideas and behaviour from you.

Why does a Chinese use British spelling conventions when he claims to be an American?

Your reply shows your double standards of not believing and practising what you believe and preach. It was a tragedy for America to have such a weird fellow like you.

I prefer the Queen's English as it is the standard English. Did I ever claim to be a Chinese American? It shows that you would fail miserably if you were given the post of CIA chief. Do an intense screening of all my postings in the forum, please.

Everyone knows you aren't an American. You're Chinese, but live in America. Are you lonely?

    Albert Di Salvo, et al,

Most nations don't look for instant results, like America.

    (COMMENT)
    • Russia is rebuilding. It has hopes (and a good chance) of being very relevant again.
    • China is an aspiring nation, and on an upward slope towards being a major international influence. It is already a key player in monetarily backing America.
    • The US is an influence in decline; militarily, industrial and economically - soon to be politically.
Nothing that China is doing actually a significant military threat to the defense of America. It may be expending its military influence and relevancy in a regional sense, pushing on that established by the US, but not directly on the US.

    As for the Russians,
    • It is not about whether they are relevant now --- but where, they intend to go. They have faith in themselves (nationally) and they will slowly rebuild (re-invest) in the capacity and abilities that will make a nation strong into the future. They will make great leaps, jumping over the infrastructures of the late 20th Century - right into the 21st Century technologies.
    • It is not about whether Russia will attack America or China, but whether it offers a growing credible alternative to either the declining America military Hegemony or the growing Chinese economic Hegemony. Russia seems to be offering the potential in a balance on both; somewhere in the middle.
    Just my thought.

    Most Respectfully,
    R

How is the U.S. military or economy in decline? People have been blabbing about that forever yet the economy is still growing...though slowly. The military is as effective as it's ever been...and thanks to a global decline in military spending as powerful compared to the rest of the world as it has ever been.

If you want to say the U.S. is losing it's superpower position in the world don't look to the decline of the U.S.....because that hasn't happened yet. Look to the rise of the East. The U.S. isn't falling....other countries are begining to catch up.

Yep. They are "catching" up meaning they aren't as far behind as they were, but they are still very much behind.
That's making me hungry but no. Do you disagree with my comment?
