Why not? Joshua was asking God from his own perspective to stop the sun. Which is easier to say especially in the heat of battle? "Please stop the sun and moon" or "please stop the earth from rotating"? BTW you still didnt answer why do we have gravity.

Actually it is. Stopping the rotation of the planet even if by some incredibly powerful entity would result in such a deviation of the Celestial Mechanics of our Planet, Moon and Solar System that is would be cataclysmic. You can't just stop a planet from rotating without massive effect. AA
I think you are assuming its all of a sudden. We stop planes going 500 mph and the earth's rotation is only 1,000 mph at the equator.

Why do I have to answer why we have gravity? Gravity is nothing more than a logical theory. It cannot be proven. And don't tell me when you drop something it falls because of gravity. It took Isaac Newton 500+ pages to try and prove gravity. He could not prove it, rather only provide a logical explanation of why things fall.
Have you tried using your head at all. Think of the earth and how the water curves around it. This cannot be replicated or demonstrated anywhere on earth, except for the surface of the earth. Really think about that. Picture a bowl, upside right the water would go in as expected. Turn the bowl upside down, then poor the water over it. It will not be pulled to it's surface, it will go all over the place. Now your saying that water does behave this way, but only on the surface of the earth, and nowhere else. Really.

That’s a little rude. Why haven’t you answered their questions? The same would happen if you used a flat disk instead. Those small-scale tests within Earth’s atmosphere aren’t an accurate representation of the behaviour of super-massive objects in space though.

Try to actually address the numerous proofs that the world is not flat I have provided, none of which rely on photographs or videos. Instead of regurgitating some nonsense you don't understand that you saw in some silly internet video. I summarized these proofs into these bullet points: o Why do tall buildings slowly sink under the horizon instead of fade away in the distance? o Why is the horizon curved when you look out the window of an airplane at altitude? o Why is there no edge to the Earth where we observe longer hours of sunlight if it is flat? o Why does Polaris not move in the sky if all the stars revolve around the Earth? o Why does Cassiopeia and the Big Dipper revolve around Polaris and not the Earth if all the heavens revolve around Earth? o Why, without exception, do stars near the Equator make large arcs around the sky while those closer to the poles make small arcs around the pole if the Earth is flat? o Why does the position of Polaris in the sky vary with latitude if the Earth is flat? o Why is there sunlight on only half of the Earth at one time if the Earth is flat? o Do you believe that all rocket launches are a fictions and the scores of thousands involved in one or witnessing one are liars? o Do you believe jet airliners are a fiction and that everyone who has flown in one and observed the curvature of the earth (and no edge) are liars? If after reading my post you do not understand the proof, let me know and I will endeavor to explain it better for you. The fact that you continue to ignore and dodge these proofs is proof that you cannot defend your belief. Though you will never admit it. Because you don't care. You've demonstrated that you have your pre-formed beliefs. You've asked for proof, I've given it to you, and you ignore it because it contradicts your predisposed beliefs.
Really. He tells others: "The more you lose your temper, the more I am easily able to tell you are no prophet of God." But then in almost every post he starts of by insulting me, followed by completely ignoring the numerous proofs I have made, while regurgitating something he saw on an internet video he has no clue about. By his own definition, he is no prophet for God.
The law of gravity an object is attracted to a greater mass (putting aside distance which has minimal effect on the surface. If you turn a bowl of water upside down, the water is attracted to the greater mass, the earth, and not the far lesser mass of the bowl. I'm not sure what he thinks he's establishing by bringing up such nonsense. He sees something on an internet video and regurgitates it here, without having a clue about what he's regurgitating. I doubt gives any critical thought to whether what he regurgitates even makes sense do long as it accords with his pre-disposed belief. What is really amazing to me is that to support his belief system, he will believe that tens of thousands of astronauts, scientists military personnel, and regular people who have seen the curvature of the earth and taken thousands of photos of it are all lying and involved in this truly massive conspiracy to trick people for some mysterious reason. But then he'll accept as true without question what some idiot he doesn't even know puts on the internet.
