The hearings start today

The mob broke through barricades and windows in order to gain access to the "Main House Chambers". No one thought to shoot any of them then.

 

At that point they were not an imminent threat to Legislators. But they were a threat to the Capitol Police they were attacking. Only cool heads and discipline prevented a massacre of tRump supporters that day.
Only when the last barricade between the insurrectionists and Congress was being breached was lethal force used. And then only one shot.

 

You seriously believe an angry mob fighting with LEO and pushing their way towards the Capitol building isn't a threat? You're living in an alternate universe than the one of common sense.

By not watching the hearings, which ENTIRELY consist of testimony under oath by Trump's highest Republican attorneys, advisors, consultants, and closest associates, you are rendering your opinions and comments irrelevant, uninformed, pointless, and lacking any possible persuasive significance. You have taken yourself out of the loop. You have no legitimate say any longer.

Now, you still have the opportunity to salvage your standing and legitimacy by accessing and watching all hearings because they are available on the web. But until you do, you have ended your legitimate participation in any discussion of the subject.

Why was security inadequate?

What is it you think Trump had the authority to do that he did not? Three time he tweeted out for the riots to respect the police and their orders and then to go home. He as President had no role in the domestic law enforcement efforts that is prohibited by the Constitution and Posse Comitatus.

 

Do you watch it and turn off your TV and don't read any news? Here's a hint, ALL the key points are being fully covered. Here's a fact, we've seen it all before why do I need to watch every minute of a rehash that is nothing more than political propaganda with all sympathetic witnesses and sympathetic questioners some of which we already know edited and fabricated evidence.

A good indication Pelosi's intentions is she refused to permit anyone who disagrees with her to be on the committee. I see you didn't watch it either. It is NOT just a rehash. There are new reports, evidence, and there is a more thorough connection made between individual testimonies. The picture is unmistakable. Trump asked Pence to violate law AND the Constitution, and Trump instigated the insurrection and aided it. The DOJ has now asked for all the transcripts from the Committee's work in order to cross-check them with their own investigations, which means the DOJ is probably heading toward prosecutions. Is that in the news? No.

I think we all know that the new coverage of any one subject is quick, cursory, and usually tries to not risk "upsetting" their listeners. So coverage is not in-depth or thorough or even adequate. That is what you get by watching the hearings.

 

I have and am today when it might not be a waste of time for which it mostly has been, and a rehash of what we have known for well over a year. And as was shown today Trump's legal team asserted what they believed a LEGAL and CONSTITUTIONAL avenue to challenge electors, you know like Dems including one on this panel have done in the past. Yes there were heated discussions between the two camps, we already knew that. Yes, Pense, correctly in my opinion, rejected their attorney's legal theories. Yes Trump was mad. And none of it illegal. Yes this committed is conducting what is a criminal investigation which is unconstitutional and as I have posted above the Attorney General should be up in arms over this political propaganda display.

Tell me what crime has this committee turned up and be specific with the particular law.

 

And she has refused to release the full reports and interviews from the shooting investigation, her own office and Thompson declared she was off limits.

I'm not buying your pretension that you are unaware that Trump asked them to march PEACEFULLY down to the Capitol. If that is not exculpatory then tell us WHY they doctored the evidence to remove it.
