The Inevitable Backlash Is Coming

There is massive corruption throughout the system. When critical mass is reached, things just seem to fall apart of their own. The problem with revolution is that often [although there are issues that need to be fixed], the revolutionaries are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Of course, most people are woefully ignorant as to the workings of the government and economic system and they will buy into anything that allows them to vent their frustration. A perfect example is those who believe that Marxism is really a good system. These same people will find out how wonderful it is when all their freedoms are exterminated [along with a fair percentage of the population [see the USSR and Communist China].

I also believe that people will gravitate back towards religion as the complexity of modern life completely overwhelms.

Although things are a mess at the moment, I am optimistic about the future.

 

True indeed. The flood of misinformation gives credence to a book that was written 2000 years ago, albeit translated, it still preserves the important messages.

 

We should not be selling weapons to Ukraine. We should be giving Ukraine arms.

 

As more is learned about the human genome it will become increasingly obvious that intelligence, criminal behavior, and probably sexual behavior are largely determined by gene alleles. As this becomes obvious it will become obvious that Negroes are more likely to have low IQ alleles and high crime alleles.

Meanwhile Negroes will continue to disappoint optimistic predictions about their potential.

The taboos and sanctions against criticizing the Negro race will come to an end. The only question is: How soon?

The civil rights legislation was forced on whites with extensive experience with Negroes by whites with little experience. There is often wisdom in tradition.

 

I would just point out that your logic fails then. If we don't pretend, which no one I know does, the only conclusion then is that only we, today, have the ability to address whatever place where folks are not equal under the law. Can we at least agree on that? I'm not suggesting that there can ever be equal outcomes. No one wants to live in a world where there is no possibility to improve your lot in life. Would you?

 

No one is saying that it is impossible to improve one's lot in life.

White privilege is real, and it makes it much easier for white people to improve their lives.

White privilege has made my life much easier than it would have been if white privilege didn't exist. Just like it has yours.

 

Whites benefit from being white. This does not mean that we benefit from the presence of Negroes. We would benefit from their absence. Consequently, we owe them nothing.

 

Hmm.. It sure seems that when you suggest that we have to acknowledge inequality that you have determined that outcomes have to be the same. In that case, there is no improvement possible since all outcomes would be equal. This is, and has always been the inequity conversation you're engaging in here. Equal under the law doesn't define outcomes. Just the playing filed.

I fail to see what was easier about my life. I'm actively discriminated against in most work places. If you aren't minority woman, corporate america is pretty hostile these days. I'd say that is some pretty structural discrimination. All based on this erroneous assumption that you've made which is, somehow my life is "easier", whatever that means. I'd say folks are simply trying to get an artificial leg up in the world. Wouldn't you?

 

I can see how it is confusing for someone who denies the existence of white privilege.

 

Ok, define what is white privilege. How do I take advantage of it? I'd really like to know. I have provided examples of how being white in corporate america isn't an advantage. More, it keeps lots of folks from getting promoted, getting advanced, etc. Why ignore what is obvious discrimination?
