I don't think is particularly racial a issue, though it does seem the majority of looters are coloured. The problem to my mind is that we have a generation who have never worked - all they have is knowledge of the 'welfare state'. Because they have had to do decents days hard work (let alone sleep overnight in the Office etc) they simply have no regard for the property of others. I am not saying that we should do away with the welfare state in one sweep but we need private businesses to start making real money for the country again and not so many government created jobs that produce nothing.

We are living the realization and summation of 50 years of welfare, liberal politics and political correctness. When one group of people is sustained by another yet the sustaining group cannot maintain behavioral standards of the sustained, the problems we have today with ghetto black thugs occurs. Political correctness is so rampant in America that even responsible black voices who criticize ghetto black behavior are dismissed and criticized as racist. Welfare, food stamps, Section 8 housing and all of the advantages given black people in jobs based on pigment have eroded the work ethic, self-confidence and pride of ghetto blacks. One who does not earn his own way will never have self-pride. It runs contrary to human nature. Lack of pride and self-confidence are compounded by ignorance and arrogance when ghetto blacks realize they are above reproach in PC America by those who pay their bills.

I AM SURE. When a country is overcome financially by the burden of entitlements, has socialized medicine, massive gov.and massive regs, it's socialist by default. We have it here in America too. We have become socialist gradually and Obama locked it in - for four years. When he came into office he greatly increased the size and budgets of regulatory agencies. He and Pelosi/Reid rammed through Obamacare in an attempt to bring socialized medicine to America. It also contains numerous tax increases. He locked in bigger govt and higher taxes. It was all done in a stealthy manner. No transparency. Small govt and Liberty is in our nature and a tipping point of rebellion against big govt has occurred. It's in our core ethics to rail against onerous govt.
