It's small s socialism in both countries, IMO, but socialism nonetheless. It's financially and morally crippling. Socialism should be limited to the indigent. Charity if for the generally disadvantaged. I contribute to charity on a regular basis. Since I'm not wealthy and we live within our means, I donate my time. I collect for the needy and do charitable projects that involve physical labor.

On another note, watching Panorama earlier it appeared around 95% of the rioters were black and around 99% of the people who turned out to clean London up the next day were White. Do you know what race was responsible for 100% of the murders during these riots? Black. Do you know who started these riots by defending a gun-toting black criminal? Blacks. Do you know what race the gunmen who shot at police in the Birmingham riots? Black. Do you know what happened in the Manchester riots? Shops were looted and one store was set ablaze. Hardly the destruction and devastation London saw where over hundred buildings were burned down to the ground and people were killed or violently assaulted in the streets. I think we're starting to see the real picture of these riots, aren't we?
And the media keeps spewing out that "ethnicity had absolutely nothing to do with the riots". They refuse to air any guest opinions that ethnicity had anything to do with it. And they are very selective in only televising the small portion of pictures which do not cleary show that virtually all the rioters were black. It is a big deception against the British people. Half of Britons which read the news likely have no clue what the riots were really about.
I can see a lot more of these riots happening in London because of covid 19. Is history about to repeat itself? Will we see race riots happening over the world as life as we know it goes up in flames? I think there will be desperate people committing crimes they wouldn't normally do just to survive. We could then see backslash and probably riots !!!
I'm in London, there is nothing in the air to suggest riot or even protest. Back then, I sensed a riot in the air weeks before it happened. I'm a white guy in a black neighbourhood in a part of town that got hit by the riots that spread in the black areas; and right now during this covid-19, I'm seeing a lot of WWII pull together keep calm orderly queue face mask badge of honour wearing Brits in my Croydon neighbourhood.
Stuff like this happens, it's no big deal if someone gets shot with a gun, it's no big deal, not enough to riot about. However, the police in London, the Met, bunch of crazy people; planted a gun. They planted a gun and shot him before. Then, they didn't tell his family they killed him and it took a day for someone in his family to find out. Then the police used a photograph of him tending his daughter's grave and cropped it to make him look like a gangster; The people when ape ****/bananas/mad, (and so they should have).
