You were given 3 DICTIONARY definitions to select from and instead of being UPFRONT and choosing one or more of them you opted instead to use the bogus THEIST allegation that EVERYONE who does NOT believe as they do does NOT have any "moral code" as HIGHLIGHTED in red above.

That is now the THIRD time that you have chose to use THEIST terminology which INDICATES that YOU are only interested in a "discussion" on YOUR terms which sound suspiciously SIMILAR to theist DOGMA.

If I am wrong then feel free to point out where I have failed to understand the content of YOUR posts.

FTR as an Atheist only the first two definitions are acceptable because the third is a DISHONEST misrepresentation of the term INTENDED to DECEIVE those who embrace theist dogma. It isn't hard to figure out WHY a theist would DODGE that 3rd CHOICE because it says VOLUMES.

Ah, those references w/o links to "the dictionary" (that dictionary from on high) --and here I thought your comments were rhetorical.

OK, so all I can get out of you (& probably all I'm ever going to get out of you) are complaints w/ absolutely no direction from your part. My best bet now is to let you continue playing this game by yourself & I'll bow out. However, you need to be careful because if you play w/ yourself too much you could go blind.

And you have as much evidence of that as you do of the Resurrection, none that will stand up in a court.

Despite the antagonism and oppression from dictators and communists who tried to foster overall atheism, Christian Churches in places like Russia still have strong support.

The growth of Atheism or the similar demographic Secularism is perhaps attributable to increasing proportions of young people as world population has grown. In early life almost everyone is seduced by materialism, career ambition, family priorities, and the false impression that science and physicality always carry the day.

Don't count on it. The real basis behind religious contemplation is an innate tendency that will never disappear. What you cite as failing is the incomplete personal transitional stages involving dogmatic theology, misunderstood scripture, and fundamentalism.

Thank you for CONFIRMING that you were NOT interested in any GENUINE discussion but merely posting TROLLING content that was easily DEBUNKED just by EXPOSING that you were trying to play asinine semantic GAMES with the MEANING of the term "truth".

Then you LOWERED yourself even further by using a PUERILE ad hom which says VOLUMES and NOT in a positive way.

    Sad!

Too bad that you have NOTHING in the way of CREDIBLE factual DATA to support your BASELESS allegations.

Theists will always BELIEVE whatever TRIGGERS their Confirmation Bias and REJECT everything that causes Cognitive Dissonance like the IRREFUTABLE facts that Christianity is in DECLINE and Atheism/Agnosticism is GROWING worldwide.

The CONTENT of your post CONFIRMS that to be an ACCURATE observation.

    Have a nice day!

Before this alleged second coming happens, could your unseen god correct the many contradictions of the bible such as these few?

    Genesis

God creates light and separates light from darkness, and day from night, on the first day. Yet he didn't make the light producing objects (the sun and the stars) until the fourth day (1:14-19). 1:3-5

God spends one-sixth of his entire creative effort (the second day) working on a solid firmament. This strange structure, which God calls heaven, is intended to separate the higher waters from the lower waters. This firmament, if it existed, would have been quite an obstacle to our space program. 1:6-8

Cain is worried after killing Abel and says, "Every one who finds me shall slay me." This is a strange concern since there were only two other humans alive at the time -- his parents! 4:14

    Numbers

The Israelite population went from seventy (Ex.1:5) to several million (over 600,000 adult males) in just a few generations! 1:45-46

    Judges

Every male Midianite was killed during the time of Moses (Num.31:7), and yet just a few years later they flourish like grasshoppers "without number." 6:1-6

    Matthew

There are 29 generations listed from David to Jesus in Matthew's genealogy, while Luke's (3:23-31) has 43. Except for David at one end and Jesus at the other, there are only three names in the two lists that are the same. 1:6-16

    Luke

In Luke's gospel, God addresses Jesus directly saying, "Thou art my beloved son." But Matthew (3:17) has God speak to those witnessing Jesus' baptism, by saying: "This is my beloved son." Whatever the exact wording, it is strange that after witnessing this even, John the Baptist is still unsure about Jesus (Mt.11:2-3, Lk.7:19). 3:22

    Enjoy!

People want to be their own God, people don't want to follow God, they don't want to make God a part of their life. Following God means accepting the limitations that come with not being your own God. Being your own God isn't true freedom-it's fake freedom.

According to the biblical fairy tale, everyone will end up cursing God. That might not make then atheists but they will really hate him.

Just before the 2nd coming after all but the last of the 7 plagues that will be true. People then living will be cursing God and the most militant will be hunting down His believers during the tribulation. The second coming will cut that short as the saved dead rise up to meet him then the hunted saved living will rise up as well, the final plague will be fatal by hail stones earth quakes, tidal waves, eruptions, and other earth convulsions. This is where the unsaved living will cry out for mountains to fall upon them to hide themselves from His glory. No one wants that fate to befall them or to wish it upon another.

That's an indefensible title given the slow but constant growth of atheism and agnosticism while Christianity declines across America.

I really don't see Christians changing their lives to conform to "limitations."

In fact I don't see any indication of what those limitations could possibly be.

Lying less and cursing less and not watching the same shows you used to. A lot of Christians can be the worst example of Christ because they are human beings with a sinful nature who make mistakes like everyone else.

    Wow was THAT ever pathetic.

How about remembering Matthew 25:31 - end?

Jesus was explicit about change HE was expecting.

In fact, in that passage in Matthew he specified eternal damnation along side Satan as the penalty for failure.

I want to add that I do accept the last sentence here.

One can not disparage a religion purely on the basis that it is hard to impossible for individuals to live up to the religion.

But, the catch here is that I don't see Christianity as a whole working toward ends that are clearly evident in the teaching of Jesus.

As an atheist, I do see value in the teachings of Jesus concernig how we need to be conducting our lives. Other sources of philosophy have value, too, of course. Who could possibly disparage Gandhi and tenets of his religion. And, the field of philosophical thought is significant.

I have a hard time with your strident claims concernig how good Christianity is when the good parts of Christianity, parts demanded by Jesus himself, aren''t being pursued with any vigor.
