God gave us free will. We can't blame God for what we do with our free will.

 

That does not explain why he also gave us a sinful nature as you stated, now explain why he gave us a sinful nature and why it is not gods fault he gave us a sinful nature.

 

God doesn't create sinners. Humanity chose to disobey God in the garden of Eden and they chose to know good and evil.

I think Christmas is a good experience for a child to learn to seek the truth on their own - without Santa, there would be no Christmas

 

You keep missing the point. I know that others attack your religion, but I am not doing that. I'm not being critical of your belief.

My own view is that being critical of your religion is not going to accomplish anything.

What I AM saying is that there is a critically important element of Christianity that is good and that Christians (as well as others) are missing.

That element is laid out by the Biblical recording of the life of Jesus in general and very explicitly in Matthew 25:31-end.

Yes, humans are far from perfect.

However, I don't see Christianity adequately focusing on the directive by Jesus in Matthew 25 - a directive where failure is punishable by everlasting hell, right along with Satan.

And, I do care about this aspect, this philosophy that Jesus does stand for.

I'd point out that it is FAR more powerful than the golden rule. Yet, we don't even HEAR about it.

Santa Claus is a replacement for Jesus. Santa and the Easter bunny are appropriate for a winter festival not for honoring Christ.
