Even if Trump doesn't run, this has fired up even Independents to vote against Democrats. People want equal justice under the law, not the double standards the democrats expect us to live under.

Yes. it was a grand jury subpoena. And those subpoenas are precise and yet want it all, and I do mean all, even if it is remotely involved. So, he failed to do so the first time. What do you expect the Grand Jurty to do? Issue a subpoena again and ask "nicely?"

Most independents are waiting to see what the search warrant wanted and the property receipt.

That being said, if an independent do vote for Trump in 2024, it will be because of the current economic situation and not this. Generally, independents and most other voters in both parties have a very short memory. Only the die-hards on Trump's loyalist bandwagon are fired up on this, but for all the wrong reasons.

 

Did you notice I referred to "Democrats" (plural). That means I was speaking of the midterms.

 

And even your link alleges that Trump had top secret information in his home and not fully comply with the requests. Geez?

 

Trump said he was subpoenaed and complied. I feel confident that he isn't lying about having received a subpeona back in the spring. There'll be a record of it.

Pssst, the fact that he still had boxes of docs shows he didn't comply. And who (except some Trump supporters) is denying he got a subpoena?

 

That won't be the reason that will change my mind but I would imagine that will be the reason many will vote against the Biden agenda in the fall.
I am betting it will be a Trump/DeSantis ticket for 2024. We'll see...

For the midterms, this is not going to fire up the independents to vote for Trump leaning candidates in a majority of the states. The only ones I can think of is Arizona for Governor and Senator, and to encourage DeSantis to declare his run for presidentcy. Other than that, no.

Democrats have the burn with abortion, women's health care access, including contraceptives, and a few other things. Its not the economy right now, but if the Dems can make woman's health care a table issue, they have a good chance at keeping that "red tidal wave" at bay.

My experience is that most people tend to vote their pocketbook and table issue, not whether or not a person who is running complied with previous requests or not. Besides, the more the search warrant is released, the less fire by the GOP will spread with their rediculous nonsense about "defunding the FBI" and all that dung.

For starters, you cannot put two alpha males together, especially people like Trump and DeSantis who both want to be #1 and both are reasonably assured to get that #1. Geez.

If Trump wins the nomination, it will be a woman, not MTG, but I think the SD Governor. If DeSantis wins, it will be someone who thinks and acts like him, like Ted Cruz as VP. But that is my guess.

I'm not sure why he still had some boxes but we'll eventually learn why they didn't take them all. Maybe what was left was all unclassified? Maybe they planted something classified in one of the remaining boxes? We don't even know exactly what they took yet. Can you wait? Maybe it was a mistake on the NA's part for making a mistake and packing up classified info he thought was safe to take.

 

Nobody forces you to vote for them if too alpha for your liking. Btw, Trump and Pence were both pretty alpha and who won in 2016?

They didn't start TAKING anything until the warrant.

There weren't just requesting or subpoenaing classified documents alone. That's not how the Presidential Records Act works.

The NA had been requesting the docs for over a year. Over. A. ****ING YEAR. He ignored their requests and the subpoena, as proven by the fact that HE STILL HAD THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS.

 

I guess we can add "not knowing how alphas work" to "not knowing how subpoenas and warrants work."

 

Trump said all documents were unclassified. It's up to the DOJ to call his bluff and prosecute and prove intent. Btw, why did they wait almost two years to get top secret information back? C'mon.. Lol.

 

Why do you keep ignoring links posted to the thread that show Trump did not ignore a subpoena?
