Never made that argument. My argument is that Trump will not choose DeSantis or vice versa. These two guys are alpha males politically and neither will consider the other as a running mate because both have the ability to cause dysfunction politically as their running mate if they so choose to. Neither Trump nor DeSantis wants competition from the other. They want absolute loyalty and compliance rom others and not of themselves. That is why they were never together in the same ticket.

With regards to Trump's fake elector scheme, yes. For this? I'd need more info before saying whether or not he should be locked up for it.

 

Not really. The TSSCi documents cannot be declassified by Trump even if he wanted to. There is a 25-year limit before that can be done and the issuing agency is the only one who is authorized to declassify them. Eventually, Trump will need to sign an executive order to do so if he wanted them declassified earlier than that time frame.

 

Uh oh. Now seeing stories that the warrant shows DOJ is investigating possible Espionage Act violations.

Trump does not think that way and neither does DeSantis. Trump will say, "I need a woman" and will choose someone like Gov Noem as his running mate. DeSantis will say, "I need a woman who thinks like me" and will choose a woman who thinks like him and did not run for President, like Sarah Palin for instance.

 

Do you realize that Trump was not responsible for packing up those documents yet? Do you understand yet that when the FBI came to get the documents in June that they left some behind instructing Trump to just lock up the rest? Do you realize that the DOJ, a political arm imho of the Biden administration, will have to prove Trump's willful intent to commit espionage, theft of government property?

Trump always overestimated his powers as President and failed to appreciate any law or regulation that stood in his way, and that evidently applies to how he chose to handle classified information, both during and after his term. He never went through a formal process to declassify the documents.

But, thanks to other reporting, it seems there are also other, perhaps more serious charges being investigated.

 

There is really one reason and only one reason to have TSSCI documents in your possession outside of the office. That is to sell them in exchange for something in return. The guy's name is Robert Hassan, a former FBI agent who was caught with this type of document and actually selling it to the Russians.

That is Trump. When Trump built the Taj Mahal in New Jersey, he literally did this to contractors who built the Taj Mahal. If the contract said $100k for this work, the contractor would get paid first and then Trump will decide to pay him the rest or not. And that usually was the case he gave in an interview in mid-90s I believe, when these lawsuits were being filed by the contractors to get paid with a partial payment and then in full per the contract completed. But Trump decided to not do that and decide when and how much they should be paid based on "his mood."
