Now you are just blubbering. You asked for a definition of life from your link and I gave one.

The point of the article is to expand the definition of life beyond established definitions not reduce or put more restrictions on it.

Tell you what: There is wholesale agreement among the scientific community that a biological organism that has a cell wall and reproduces is "life".

Human cells that reproduce meet this criteria.

Question answered and unrefuted by any sane member of the scientific community.

I really didn't want this thread to turn into one on abortion for there is a dedicated section for that subject, but I will offer a response.

I would ask then what is it that is growing in the womb of a woman, something other than a human-in-the-making? Do we not consider the pregnant dog or cat not to be carrying life within it no matter when it was created? We take it upon ourselves to judge what life is? Apparently so by our thoughts on the matter and our deeds in response.

Please reference the scripture where God gave man the right to perform an abortion. I am very much interested in this.

The terminology "human life" is not ambiguous for God nor for the one who believes in Jesus as their Savior. To deem otherwise is to lessen the value of life in general and life-in-the-making specifically. Sperm is living, but it is not life. A refresher course in Anatomy & Biology 101 is long overdue, GD.

Life is organic, it begins when it begins, no matter whether it be a plant or animal. Humans are animals, we all began our life at the time of conception. At no other time did life begin except in perhaps in the case of Adam and Eve.

I prefer taking it up with the Doctor who fails to honor their code of ethics.

Even more true is the One that created life, now He is the final arbiter of on this matter and man indulges his own sensibilities as to what is right and what is wrong and in that we fail as a society.

I ask that all posters return to the OP of this thread. This is about healing and dealing with issues that have a negative impact on our life.

Please take any discussion of life itself and abortion into those sub-forums that specifically deal with those issues.

Again, I ask you to refrain from co-opting this thread.
