"The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Orange County Superior Court by parents Priya Shah and Jaspret Brar against Heritage Oak Private Education and the school's parent company, Nobel Learning Communities, Inc.

The suit alleges that Heritage Oak, which is located in Yorba Linda, refused to call their daughter Nikki Brar by her name.
The suit also claims the school insisted that Nikki wear a boy's uniform and use the boy's bathroom.

It also states that the school barred teachers from protecting her from bullying and harassment."

I'm sure it's no surprise this is in California. Now it's 8 year old transgenders who need everyone else to pretend they are the opposite sex or get sued. The parents want their son to use the restroom with the the young girls and expect the school and other parents to be ok with this? I would suggest the parents and the child seek counseling.

The private school did nothing wrong here. They required this boy to use the boys restrooms and wear the proper uniform. Why would they allow him to use the girls restrooms with the other girls, and would that be fair to them? No. This child doesn't get special treatment and must follow the rules like everyone else.

That poor child. He would be better off being parented by his school, than his abusive lunatic actual parents.

I so hope their suit fails. Such a dangerous precedent, for many future abused children.

This part should be a load of crap. They ought to have discussed such policies beforehand, and looked into a different school if it's policies didn't match with their expectations.

This part, however, could be significant. Not sure the details here, but no school should ever ban teachers from intervening over bullying and harassment.

The school is for-profit and non-religious. That means it's subject to California's discrimination laws, which include gender identity, according the the article.

What about the other students being protected from having to pretend boys are girls and girls are boys and screwing up their little heads filled with mush?

You're suggesting the other students need to bully and harass transgender kids to protect their own psyche?

I wish a court would remove this kid from his parents.

We're supposed to do things for our children that don't increase their suicide rate drastically.

Even the American Psychiatric Association says that an 8 year old cannot make an informed decision on whether they are transgendered or not. This is bullshit and the parents need to lose guardianship.

If the dress code says boys wear his and girls wear that, it's in the parents to dress heir kid accordingly. You don't get to be whatever you want to be. You are what you are at 8. If the teachers did nothing about bullying that's not good.

I don't understand this sentence. Too many generalities and unspecified pronouns.

Bullying could be defined as anything the kid or parents didn't like, reasonable or not.

8 years old. This kid doesn't even know what to do with is sex organs but the parents believe the kid is mature, educated and smart enough to know he doesn't need them.

    Child abuse pure and simple.

Could be. It's impossible to tell from the lack of specific details mentioned in the article. That's why I said it could be significant.

It's California, though, and a for-profit school, which according to the article, makes it support to CA laws prohibiting businesses from discriminating against gender identity.

How ****ing unreal is it that an eight year old boy has been abused like this to fit his parents' lunatic ideology.

That west coast state should be kicked out the country for crimes against humanity, never mind waiting for the secessionists to make a case for it. A tranny adult is one thing, but you couldn't have more categorical child abuse than this.

Saw another story on this, while the kid is eight years old today, his mental began at least a year ago, maybe earlier.

But wait? Its discrimination for a boy who thinks he's a girl to play by the same rules as everyone else? They're allowed to play by whatever rules they want? What if LGBTXYZ's start demanding they can pee in public? Does everyone else have to bend to their will? You HAVE TO call them whatever they want. You have to treat them however THEY want. How interesting? In our workplace we have a dress code. Women can't wear tank tops. If a transgender decides you're insulting them by not allowing them to wear what they want, they can sue now? And people wonder why most people will think twice before ever hiring one in a "normal" company.

When my sons were 8 years old and we had to purchase school uniforms, they wore what I bought them, period! It was up to me, the parent, to see to it that my child was following the rules of the school. If this kid thinks otherwise, it's only the parents doing. There is no way an 8 year old child can rationalize what's in this suit.

Better facts are that 8 year old children follow the guidance of their parents. The child doesn't get to make life decisions. At this age, they should be following rules set forth by the parents and school. End.of.story.

Do you got any proof of this?
I think you're making it up.
