Is Trump part of the "right"? ;-) Trump targets the credibility of the MSM because it is a key part of his committed opposition. Smart move.

My guess is that more American conservatives favor him over American liberals.

So, YES, Trump is part of the right.

Ddy: A fat Miss Universe is bad for business.

Natty: That may be a smashing bumper sticker for the reality tv performer, but such easily-induced distractions from substantive presidential matters betrays an hysterical temperament.

So, you really think Clinton's "hysterical temperament" caused her to bring Miss Piggy into the debate? I think it could have just been "strategery."

The Obamas will either vote for Stein or Trump - probably Trump.

The Obamas will vote for Hillary Clinton.

You guys are out of your mind if you think otherwise.

National Review, The Daily Standard, the WSJ and leading "conservatives" oppose him. Many "conservatives" have endorsed Clinton.

Trump has talked about shrinking the power and size of government with just enough apparent conviction to frighten the entire American political class. Trump is an outsider - they think he may actually intend to do something. Hence all the now desperate attacks on Trump from every quarter.

I think their fears are unwarranted. ;-)

An actual GOP politician, rather than an emotionally-volatile, self-obsessed novelty act might actually have been able to defeat Clinton.

The Clinton campaign launched the birther attack on Obama. The Obamas know it - they despise the Clintons.
No serious Leftist has anything but contempt for the Clintons.

    Publicly, they support HC.

What they do with their vote is anyone's guess.

He is, indeed, a part of what is now known as the "alt-right."

He is not, however, well liked by traditional conservatives sources (e.g. National Review; and George Will, who recently left the Republican Party, in large part because of Donald Trump).

This is probably true, since the Clintons--unlike, say, Bernie Sanders--have no core principles. They simply stick their fingers in the political wind, and go whichever way it is blowing.

And Bill is just as bad as Hillary. (Basically, Hillary is just Bill, absent the "aw-shucks" charm.)

The "alt.right" is one of those myth things that puff out of campaign consultants during a tough election cycle - "alligator lizards in the sky". ;-)

And republicans wonder why they have an image problem with women.

The irony of this entire issue of trump's misogyny is that he thinks women like him for reasons other than his money.

Yes. Anyone who knows any serious Leftists knows their hostility to the Clintons is now off the scale. They make the harshest RW critics sound moderate, fair and balanced. ;-)

You're concerned about core principles and you're supporting Donald?

The guy is the biggest flip flopper of all time. He makes John Kerry look like the Rock of Gibraltar. He sometimes changes position mid sentence.

His only core principle his how to enrich himself.

That may be what you mean, but I won't put words in your mouth.

Without money, Trump would have ZERO appeal to women.

Does anybody think Melania would've married him if he was making 50k a year?

The debate last week may have been the worst beat-down in the history of American politics. Even for the alt-right that has hijacked the GOP, it was an ugly thing to see and there was nothing to be done. Many were left sucking their thumbs next morning—when they weren't making odd mewling sounds—while curled up beneath their desks. Old-line GOP members were left scrambling to support Hillary.

    Don't know for sure...

    ...but from indications I see...

...a greater percentage of conservative support him than liberals do.

He is a part of the right...whether they want him to be or not. Fact is, he's all they've got right now.

Yes, and if Clinton had smiled as little as Trump did the Trumpers would be calling her a you know what and it starts with B and they'd be saying she is cold and mean :)

I really cannot disagree with you here.

But it would probably be an overstatement to say that I am "supporting" Donald Trump (as though I really liked the man).

I merely consider him to be the lesser of two evils.

He is a megalomaniac; a blowhard; a bully; and a bigot, in my opinion. Hardly the sort of person that I would warm up to.

But Hillary Clinton is a liar; the quintessential politician (which, by my lights, is probably the very worst thing that can be said of anyone, short of his of her being an axe murderer); and probably a criminal, also.

So both are very far down the scale, in my opinion.

The tie-breaker, however, is this: Hillary Clinton's Supreme Court picks (as regarding which, there should be at least three) will probably be more like Ruth Bader Ginsburg than like the late Antonin Scalia; whereas Donald Trump's selections are likely to be just the opposite...

So...ummm...what you are saying is that the very last thing you want politicians to be is....ummm...politicians???

Would you want a timber jack to be dealing with your heart palpitations?

I honestly do not get it.
