Trump Vows to Undo Biden Gun Restrictions If Re-elected

We saw how blue cities abd states as well as since Jan 20, 2021.trampled upon and trashed the US Constitution. It meant nothing to them if they could otherwise coerce Christians into violating our religious beliefs or control just about our every act as they saw fit from on high.

 

They see Christians and populist conservatives having rights as a very bad thing for them.

 

And we in exurb to rural California take the 2A very seriously. So much so that many of us are now in 2A sanctuary counties with sheriffs who do not enforce unconstitutional California gun laws and per capita are as heavily armed as the citizens of any red state. Californias rural vastness is far too large for ciastal urban areas to enforce much of their dogma. They couldn’t even make us obey their Covid rules

 

I never back down to a secular progressive. Period. On any issue. Ever. There is no common ground between us nor would I want there to be any.

We are entitled to own weapons per the second amendment.

 

I worry about those who want to disarm honest Americans. In many cases, their desires are based on a cultural hatred of the politics of gun owners. In some cases-though much rarer, those who want to ban honest people owning guns are those who may one day engage in activities that would force an honest citizen to defend him or her self. I have met almost no gun banning movement leaders, over the last 48 or so years that I have been avidly defending the second amendment, who are actually motivated by a desire to control crime

 

Trump was pandering to the public after the Paddock massacre in Las Vegas. He prompted the already anti gun ATF to reclassify bump stocks as the already banned (by democrats in 1986) as machine guns. It was a stupid action and it appears that at least one court is going to strike that down. On the other hand, I have no doubt that hillary clinton would have pushed for far more idiotic restrictions than banning what is essentially a fairly worthless device (for serious shooters)

 

lets see what restrictions we have on record that are not opposed by the vast majority of lawful gun owners

1) it's a felony federally for anyone with a felony record or a domestic violence conviction to posses a firearm

2) its a felony for someone under a domestic restraining order or under felony indictment to possess a firearms

3) it is illegal for people with clean records to sell and buy handguns across state lines

4) it is illegal to use a firearm in any intentional way, that harms or threatens innocents

5) it is either a criminal offense or will result in damaging civil verdicts to harm anyone with a firearm unless justified by the threat of imminent bodily harm

6) anyone adjudicated mentally incompetent cannot own weapons

7) almost every municipality bans the discharge of firearms in areas other than secure indoor ranges

SO tell us what are the restrictions in addition to this that you demand we impose

 

why do you believe that is the only reason why people own weapons. are you upset that they do? I own lots of firearms-only a few do I see as WEAPONS. I have won over 400 different shooting contests over the last 50 years. that is the main reason I own FIREARMS

 

he couldn't get his party to pass what he wanted enacted. How do you think his supreme court justice will Rule on gun cases? we know that EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT appointee to the high court over the last 30 years has voted against gun rights.

 

most people think "assault weapons"mean machine guns-which are already banned if they are newer than 1986. In reality, democrat "assault weapon bans" banned 3000 dollar olympic target pistols

 

How did Trump's three Justices vote on BRUEN? how about Obama/BIden's appointees QuotaMayor and Kagan?

 

So the bottom line is Biden hasn’t enacted any gun restrictions? Ok, cool. I thought I had missed something. So basically Trump was pandering to his drooling sheep when he said he would reverse all of the gun restrictions enacted by Biden.

not yet, but where this battle really takes place is in the courts and right now-every justice Trump appointed voted for gun owners in Bruen and the ones that Biden was part of the administration that appointed them-they both voted against gun rights.
