Having rights can be a scary thing but I think it's a little less scary than living in a nanny state where the government decides what right she can and can't have.

If by 'powerful' you mean empowered to defend themselves from violence, then yes, I'd say that's accurate, and a VERY GOOD thing for everyone except violent criminals.

If by 'self perpetuating cycle' you're suggesting that guns cause more violence, what would you say is instead responsible for the drastic reduction in violence (both gun related and not) in Florida since the adoption of 'Constitutional Carry' (meaning a license is not required to conceal a lawfully owned firearm) in July of last year?

Technically not true. I will own a family owned weapon once my mom passes so I’m obviously not in any hurry to be able to own it. I do support the rights of my friends and neighbors to do what they are doing along with our county board of supervisors and county sheriff. I’m also not upset about a local militia that made itself known during the spring and summer 2020. We have non peaceful BLM and Antifa insurance here because of them and their good terms with local law enforcement. Like I said despite my personal status, my county is per capita the most heavily armed one in the state.

 

I’ve said as much here before I left here for a time to do this kind of interacting on a different site instead.

Election fraud undermines democracy, the concept of consent of the governed that our system of, by and for The People is founded upon. Its not Trump doing that, election fraud does that. Another case of folks trying to blame Trump for 'threatening' things that he's trying to warn us about other people doing.
