Oh, what rubbish! This was no “warning”. The criticism he received for these stupid remarks came equally from his detractors AND his own side of politics, which is why he had to walk them back.

 

That doesnt mean anything at all. Its no secret that 'Trumps side of politics' is lousy with disingenuous political hacks who's careers are defined by pandoring to an electorate that they don't actually agree with, especially when it comes to Trump. These infiltrators and saboteurs (some would call them RINOs, but I like the term globalist better, because R's tend to be just as corrupt and disingenuous as D's) are just as happy to deliberately misrepresent and misinterpret Trump as their more open opposition is. Get back to me when Trump specifies which part(s) of the constitution he wants to 'terminate.' Til then, he's clearly warning of the existential danger that fraud represents to our system of govt, and we already know who wants to continue restricting the First and Second Amendments ...and its not Trump.

If the data can be believed, we are living in a demonstrably safer society as compared to 30 years ago, with regards to violent crime. People's PERCEPTION may be different, and an individual's local circumstance may be different... but nationwide, the violent crime rate is about half what it was.

@MiaBleu seems to believe society has been made a more dangerous place because the number of firearms has steadily increased, whereas, the data proves that to be a misconception. S/he holds that belief for one or more reasons; perhaps s/he lives in Portland, or another urban shithole, where society really HAS become more dangerous, for reasons you described... perhaps s/he has been propagandized by anti-gun interests... perhaps s/he is a propagandist his/her self with those underlying motivations... perhaps s/he is simply parroting sources that s/he finds credible because of confirmation bias. I don't begrudge people coming to their own conclusions, and I find it fascinating how often two reasonable and intelligent people can come to polar-opposite viewpoints when given the same data.

But you're right... perception is reality, and people have no choice but to act on their perceptions. Propaganda is all about cultivating and fleshing out those perceptions, regardless of what the realities are, and driving people to act accordingly. It's incumbent upon everyone to recognize when that is happening, and to seek the truth instead, but that is not a very common occurrence, sadly.

Bribed Joe doesn't like a lot of the amendments, like free speech, guarantee to the right to firearms, freedom from being spied on Bribed Joe and his flying monkeys, freedom from abusive prosecutors.
