JANUARY 22, 2020: We do have a plan and we think it's gonna be handled very well, we've already handled it very well! ”We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It's going to be just fine!”

A month later, Trump’s giddy prognostications remained impervious to massive doses of reality:

FEBRUARY 25, 2020: Trump scoffed at concerns about the coronavirus in the U.S., saying the situation was "under control!" and was a "problem that's going to go away!"

"We have very few people with it," -
"the people are getting better, they're all getting better!”

After resolutely dragging his arse at a clip that makes continental drift look like Usain Bolt, regularly lashing out hysterically at Governors Cuomo, Inslee, Whitmer and a host of others (having giddily praised Xi Jinping), boldly lying about the availability of testing, masks, ventilators, etc., relentlessly promoting an unproven elixir,

    Screen Shot 2020-04-06 at 7.44.38 AM.png
... and conjuring up his crackpot vision of the nation miraculously emerging from its entombment on Easter morn.

    APRIL 6, 2020:
There are more than 330,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the U.S., with 9,648 deaths.

Trump is a Fool. One of the marks of a fool is someone who opens mouth on a regular basis without thinking - says something that sounds good on the surface to gain attention without thinking of the consequences.

Trump does this often - and it is always attention seeking behavior - something that will appeal to his base - and certainly the fools within his base who do not think beyond the surface.

    The latest example:

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau joined by Newfoundland’s premier in decrying Trump ban on exports of N95 protective masks

    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/c...n95-protective-masks-2020-04-05?mod=home-page

Sure it may sound good to some on the surface - "Trump is protecting US citizens - America First" - but this is a really stupid move - especially with respect to Canada.

One expert had this to say.
Company says to stop exporting face masks would lead to retaliation and a decrease in supply; one expert says lack of raw materials is the real issue

    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/3...an-consequences-2020-04-03?mod=article_inline

Raw materials for the masks comes from Canada.

Then you have the long term consequences to 3M - This crisis will end at some day and 3M will want to resume business as usual - except it will not be business as usual as 3M will be tarred as one of the companies who acted badly during a crisis.

Then you have the overwhelming stupidity of not realizing "what if all nations started hoarding goods".

It's a reflection of different management styles:

FDR rallied the people to fight a war with his strong speeches and fireside chats.

JFK rallied the people to work together to tackle space.

Reagan rallied the world to break up the Soviet Union.

Obama was so calm and relaxed, the people didn't even need rallying to handle H1N1 without panic.

Trump's Drama Queen style of government led to drama queen public reaction for the Covid-19 outbreak. Pure Panic.

The country is a reflection of it's leader, and boy, did it reflect the Drama Queen Trump.

Medical experts are continuing to combat Medicine Man Don's irresponsible hype pushing his alleged nostrum, repeatedly explaining that Trump's enthusiastically touting hydroxychloroquine creates risk.

Meanwhile, Trump's bum kissers with no medical expertise stridently parrot his sales pitch.

Trump's top trade adviser Peter Navarro lashed out at Dr Anthony Fauci, insisting that he has proof that hydroxychloroquine could work to treat coronavirus, which Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, disagreed with. "What are you talking about?" Fauci asked.

Needless to say, Trumper stooges parroting their master's bullshit is not helpful.

So what's the big deal? It's 1:1000 ratio, that is only 1 in every 1000 Americans is sick.
And apart from that 80% of infected have very mild symptoms.

It's the media hysteria that make it look so big. ;)

People like yourself are going to play the hindsight game ad nauseam. In the hindsight game, every decision along the way would be perfect.

If we had the benefit of hindsight and could go back to January 3rd, surely we would go back and ban ALL international travel, and require ALL citizens returning from abroad to spend two weeks in a level 3 containment center, with no exceptions. All other major countries would undoubtedly do the same.

Obviously what was known about this virus at any point in January would not have justified such an action, and there was literally nobody that would have been calling for such draconian measures. If you need evidence of this go back and look at how much heat Trump took for limiting travel from China in late January ( which was actually an extremely effective, prescient, bold, and decisive action for that time). Despite that reality, people like yourself are going to go into eternity acting as if the reason that this virus has created this devastation is because Trump was too stupid to have not taken the perfect measures to have kept this out of the United States.

Your implication is nonsensical, and the population at large does not follow your belief system hence you see the approval ratings where they are. That reality however will not stop or hinder you one iota. You will continue with the nonsensical crusade, and other extremely partisan leftists will continue on with this narrative in a never ending echo chamber, and you will continue to wonder why everyone else does not feel the same as you.

What is more sad is the economic collapse that will follow the fake news "monstrous" coronavirus. People losing their job and defolting on their mortgages, etc. People loosing their freaking mind over fear.

Yeah, very sad indeed. Never mind one American president said "The only thing to fear is fear itself".

Your aversion to the documented record (that contradicts and contrasts with your Master's self-serving, fraudulent hindsight that he evokes) and the hyper-partisan fanaticism that occasions such tirades are noted.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Nations such as South Korea whose leadership acted responsibly and with admirable dispatch provide a superior paradigm that contrasts starkly with the feebleness of Trumpery that has led to the current plight.

"Don't talk about what happened!" affords no such lesson.

The hyper-sensitivities of those who can't handle the truth aside, we do not want to repeat this self-deluded irresponsibility:

    "It's under control!...
    Everybody's getting better!"

certainly not when, at the same time, experts are warning,

Your response replete with silly pictures and captions, make it impossible to take you seriously. I had hoped that you would respond to the actual substance of what I said. While having already assumed the bar for the substance of your response to be extremely low, I still somehow managed to overestimate. My bad.

The people who can't be taken seriously are the Trumpsters who place their icon on a pedestal above all responsibility, rationality, intelligence, and facts.
    Carry on.

Your inability to honestly address Trump's documented record is understandable.

His exact quotes that contrast so egregiously with reality and the consensus of actual experts are impossible to refute.

Not surprisingly, it is the Trump Whisperer, Giuliani, who now fancies himself Fake Don's "Personal Science Adviser" - notorious for spewing crackpot conspiracy theories into Trump's ear to turn him on - who hypes a "cure" for COVID-19 via Twitter and on his podcast. (Twitter deleted a tweet by Rudy Giuliani for recklessly spreading the coronavirus misinformation.)

There is no indication that sleazy co-conspirator "Borscht Boy" Parnas is in on this scam.

Where the OP gets his orders

China Floods Facebook with Ads Blaming Trump for Chinese Virus

Chinese state media has been flooding Facebook and Instagram with undisclosed political ads blaming President Donald Trump for the Wuhan coronavirus. Facebook said in a statement that it was an “error” that the ads were not classified as political and is correcting them.

You may be lashing out irrationally because I have accurately quoted the Trump, but these are among the conservative publications that confirm that Trump was duped by Xi.

    • Meanwhile, with Trump hysterical over his plummeting political fortunes, Dr Anthony Fauci may be his next target:
    • 85% of registered Florida voters approve of infectious disease expert
    • Dr. Anthony Fauci's response effort, according to a poll
    • published by the University of North Florida on Monday.
    • 58% of Florida voters said they don't trust Trump
    • to provide reliable information about the pandemic.

Even Trump has now been compelled by the irrefutable reality to abandon his making light of the pandemic and finally admit to its dire implications:
    .
"The U.S. is facing a very, very painful two weeks.
This could be a hell of a bad two weeks.
This is going to be a very bad two, and maybe three weeks.
This is going to be three weeks like we’ve never seen before.”

what, are you saying Trump is wrong about this virus, he is the leader, sure he is right that he has it under control, 15 cases, soon to be zero

Trump lied to the people so much, people now have a hard time believing anything he says, that causes mean to fear the government is not in control of this

Trump should have let the experts handle it, Trump is more concerned about receiving praise than anything else it seems

Finding negative Trump articles doesn't exactly take talent. In fact, proves my point the Chinese are feeding you propaganda and you're eating it up like candy. What are you going to obsess over in 2024?

After 3-1/2 yrs, it seems you'd have learned we didn't elect Donald Trump because he's a great orator. But no, you keep beating that same dead horse.

Here's a little something to ruin your day. So sorry to have to be the one to tell you. :(

U.S. Coronavirus Hospitalizations Lower than Predicted: NY Marks 75% Drop

The number of people hospitalized across the United States as a result of the novel corona virus illness (COVID-19) is reportedly only a fraction of what some health experts projected a few days ago.

On Monday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters that in his state alone, the epicenter of the viral outbreak in the United States, new coronavirus hospitalizations dropped by about 75 percent, from 1,427 four days ago to 358 on Sunday.

Highlighting the drop in new hospitalizations in NY, the state hardest hit (131,239 cases; 4,758 deaths as of Monday) by the coronavirus, Alex Berenson, former New York Times reporter who has been following the U.S. outbreak closely, observed on Twitter on Monday: “It’s over, guys. It’s already over.”

Really? The minority of Americans who voted for him did not do so because they were enchanted by the orotund verbal facility with which he spewed his plethora of documented lies? Wow.
