What do you mean by "assimilate.. IMO there's NO war on Christmas to begin with except the claims on Fox News and the brain of Donald Trump.

Nothing different to its dictionary definition. "Integrate" can be used in its place. Obviously it involves alot more than just accepting Christmas culture, not that I am convinced that they DON'T accept it, like I said, as far as I'm aware its just the left coming up with dumb ideas for minorities which the vast majority of minorities aren't even asking for in order to signal their stupid, pathetic, irrelevant virtue.

I still don't understand what you are saying.. Non Christians seem to have assimilated (or integrated) into our culture just fine. Where do you live?

I think he means in order to be assimilated, you have to join the borg and become Christian too, he forgets were not a theocracy and never will be

Have you actually heard a Christian specifically say they they're upset because someone wished their
holidays be happy and say that they DEMAND that everyone instead says merry Christmas? Or even just one of those?

Well that's great. However if that's the case, why the need for retail outlets saying "happy holidays" instead of "happy Christmas?" What in the hell does it actually achieve?

I live in Australia and our non Christians have assimilated into our culture too.

not in real life, the Christians I know are good people...

on the internet, we see them even get upset about Starbucks coffee cops, those are the snowflakes

then of course we have our President and this Christian group he visited that think there is a war on Christmas

glad to hear you are not offended by someone wishing you a "Happy Holidays"

it's respectful of other holidays during the season, on Christmas eve and Christmas day I would recommend they say Merry Christmas, not all Winter long, I thought you just said you were ok with this? Happy Holidays includes Christmas, you realize that right?

Because retail outfits serve Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Buddhists... etc. Grow up. You are not being persecuted.

That's not actually an argument as to what it achieves. Try again.

When did I say I WAS being persecuted?

Trump is full of crap.. He's claiming there is a war on Christmas to inflame the lemmings... and he's claiming that only he, Trump, can save Christmas.

I'm a Christian but I can't for the life of me see why some of my fellow Christian's have a problem with starbucks removing non-Christian specific images from their cups. So yeah, they are snowflakes for sure, but they are the VAST minority! Ironically, snowflakes are one of the things that were removed from the cups! And last time I checked, snowflakes weren't mentioned in The Bible! Anyway, on the internet, can the same be said for Christians for this Merry Christmas thing?

Falling for the notion that the executive branch has any power to make the public say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays." Or that "Happy Holidays" is an attack on Christianity in the first place.

    What other holidays are there?

Certainly not all Winter. In the Christian calendar, Christmas only relates to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So its an interesting question - when the hell does the cultural Christmas period begin? For me, Merry Christmas isn't something I say much. In fact, in my 30 years of life, I've probably never said it once other than on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. However, if I worked in retail, I might be inclined to say it earlier, that is, if my boss allowed me.

I made it clear that it wouldn't bother me if someone said happy holidays to me and that I wouldn't demand that they say Christmas instead. However, I was just asking what it achieves. Why did you think this meant that I'm not okay with it?

    Of course.

Okay, we're not talking about Trump here and the 'War on Christmas' in general. So here's my last post for you to try to respond to properly this time:

That's not actually an argument as to what it achieves. Try again.

When did I say I WAS being persecuted?

I always do :) See, whether some body say the "Magic Words" or not I always have a great, and Merry, Christmas...you don't really need the Magic Words..

And I take great delight in the fact that so many Snowflake righties had their Christmases totally ruined and destroyed because someone didn't say the "Magic Words".

BIG BOLDED AND BLUE because I like it that way ! :nana:

    I see I irritate you :)

I never said there is a need to drop Merry Christmas....... but if a store wants to be inclusive of all Americans they have a right to have their employees say what they're directed to say....

Yes you can be any religion you choose in America but when you immigrate here you need to accept that our country was founded on Christian principles and our culture is Christian based so don't be offended by Christmas trees, Christmas music and people saying merry Christmas. If I immigrated to an Islamic country I would accept the fact that I heard calls to prayer instead of church bells and I wouldn't demand the culture change to suit me and my Christian beliefs.

Even though it is a very small thing, isn't it the latest in a long line of anti-Christian sentiment? Isn't it fair to say that Trump is most likely not strictly pointing to this alone?

Who is saying that private companies don't have the right to do this? I'm certainly not. I just don't think that saying "Merry Christmas" to people is somehow NOT being inclusive of all Americans. Do you mind telling me how you think its not being inclusive?
