So, once again, Turkey proves it's all talk and really won't do anything at all to help the "poor people of Gaza", cause as we all know, poor countries always have a large back order for large screen TV's, right? lol

Can't wait for the next gust of hot air to come out of Turkey, cause that's all they seem to be able to produce.

One thing you can rely on is the pro-Islamist crowd steering clear of this thread. They were hootin and a hollering something fierce about how Turkey could whoop anyone's butt and no one would dare stop their ships.

Maybe we'll see one show up eventually with some excuse as to why Turkey didn't deliver on their promise.

I suppose Erdogan did not realize that when he was making a fool of himself and his country with his misplaced hysterican outbursts and empty threats .

I was reading a few days ago that the Canadians on board insisted that Turkey play no role in it and Turkey agreed. The activists wanted no government help or assistance and made that plain before setting off.

And? The arab street undoubtedly loves him, the arab decision makers most likely despise and distrust him, the western powers are wary of him and have yet more reasons to distance Turkey from Europe and the EU, he has just demonstrated that he is full of hot air and his threats are empty...How exactly does it benefit him or Turkey?

Pressure from the US? What could Turkey possibly fear about the US? They can kick all our asses, remember? I just don't get it. Why would all our Islamist residence claim no one, not even the great devil (the US) could possibly stand up to Turkey and then not send what they promised because of "US pressure"? Why would Turkey fear US pressure? It just doesn't make sense.

So the whole point about this thread, is saying Turkey won't protect people that need protecting from the people you support and somehow it's a good thing?

No wonder the world is headed for oblivion.

Erdogan said that Turkish forces would accompany Turkish civilian aid ships. The ships in this latest convoy are Irish and Canadian. Conclusion; this thread is the usual toss-pot fest.

Salute to the Irish and these unusually progressive Canadians.

Erdogan gave an interview to the Bild newspaper this week.

He said he was dissappointed by Germany not pushing Turkey's EU membership. Funny that because I am hearing on PF that he isn't interested...

He also said a really stupid thing. When asked why he made a statement that kids born to Turkish immigrants in Germany should learn Turkish before German, he said that that is scientifically prove to be best that one learns their home language before one learns a foreign language. :omg: He really doesn't get it. The language in Germany is German.

    Canadians huh? Haha.

Turkey suddenly has bigger fish to fry than Israel. Turkey and Iran are locked in a competition for influence and power in the Middle East. Turkey is feeling threatened by Iran. If that weren't true Turkey would not have recently approved of the installation of American missile defenses on Turkish soil.

Turkey is even hosting the beginning of a Syrian revolutionary insurgency. This is in direct opposition to the Iranian backed Assad regime. This is getting interesting.

1 you think strategically here, not like the most turks... for them Israel is a biggest aggressor in the region, + most of them believe in Jewish conspiracy against Muslim nations etc.

2 just wander how happy will be generals when they get an independent the western Kurdistan

No he doesn't because the foreign languages in this country do not include German. German is the first language still.

German kids learn English from the second or third grade and French or Spanish from the 6th. So nothing that you posted indicates that foreign languages are the language of choice in this country.

In fact the kids that do not learn German as their first language (it isn't a foreign language here contrary to what that fool says), will be more likely not to obtain a first grade pass, get an education and a decent job. He is too stupid to realise that. He says learning Turkish first is best and not a foreign language (in Germany!) Idiot.

Another weak analyze from you. Couple of months ago you were saying the exact opposite. As I said many times before, Iran and Turkey can't compete; Iran is one of the biggest suppliers of Turkey's natural gas need on which Turkey's industry based. So the relationship is much more complicated.

Albert is right operative/tactically - friendship; strategically - uncompromised hostility

Turks' mother tongue is still Turkish, even if they live in Germany. It's not a formal aspect. It is about their natural, cultural condition. That is what you are not able to realise. If we support a world that everybody share the same sky in peace without losing values, filtered from centuries, which they brought from their fathers; we should not service assimilation on "integration" plate.
