What? In the first part of your post you called the very notion of race to be white supremacist garbage. Now you reject the notion of superior races, as do I, but you're contradicting yourself.

Are you denying the role of the Boogaloo Bois in the BLM riots?

You de-escalate protests by listening to what the protest is about and showing you are acting on the concerns. That is the rule book

    No I am not

I said white supremacy is rubbish, basically because it is possible the Chinese come out on top! (Which should stir more than a few on this board :p)

Ok? Not sure what your point is here.

    Already acknowledged. Why repeat?

    Matter of opinion.

A brief generalized notion of history. You act like hatred or fear of "other" was never a factor. That's just down right ignoring actual full history and human psychology.

Something already known and acknowledged. What else do you want from me?

Already known and acknowledged. Again, what else do you want from me?

It is an excuse if you use it as a reason to give things out like reparations. Advocate for special treatment such as using skin color as part of a basis to allow/deny college admissions. And sooo many other things. Believe it or not, two things can be right at the same time.

An entirety of a group of people is made up of individuals. And yes, I'm one such individual. I do not expect anyone to do what I wouldn't do. But I sure as hell do expect them to be able to do what I can do unless there is a valid reason otherwise. And crying "boo hoo someone was mean to my race" for year after year is NOT a valid reason.

Portland alone had riots every single night for 4 months. Are you telling me that boogaloo bois caused each and every single one of those riots every single night?

What I'm saying is stop deflecting and own up to what BLM did ALSO. On a MUCH wider scale.

I did not justify it. You should brush up on your reading. I did explain why they react the way they do. That is not the same as justifying it.

Also, you might check the context of our conversation. It was not specifically about Nichols. You blamed the attitude on the leadership. I pointed out that it had to do with the policeman's day to day experiences on the street.

Forgot to reply to this part.

I say it depends on what they are protesting about. What BLM protests about? Is rubbish. There were 53 million encounters with police in 2020. Over 60 million in 2018. Out of those 53 million encounters only 1% of people complained of police misconduct. or 0.53 out of 53 million. Out of those 53 million encounters roughly 1200-1400 (can't remember exact number) people were killed by police. Of those the amount of unjustified use of force was in the single digits. And it was roughly equal as to whether it was whites or blacks that was unjustifiably killed. BLM is VERY selective as to what data they use and very liberal as to what cases of killings they use as examples. Such as using the "hands up don't shoot!" that Mr. Brown's friend tried to claim.

Seems like a good faith effort. Obviously several of the replies indicate it isn't but I'll give ya a shot.

There isn't a race theory per se. I've tried to look up what you've crafted here and I do not find anything like this. However you could argue, as I would that most people believe individual agency, personal responsibility, personal choice and so on are the defaults for how we humans operate, how our Constitution operates, the basis of our belief in human rights and so on.

We have seen systematic racism perpetuated by governments. It isn't impossible. However we have collectively, through our individual choices, sought elected officials and sued through the courts to uphold our Constitution and create a non-racist system.

That said the mind and hearts of all men are not pure on racial matters. We know some people are racist for a number of reasons be it believing black people are better natural athletes or asian people are better mathematicians and so on. We can collectively work to help people make better individual choices.

CRT is a lens that presumes racism as a default. Racism is never removed. It is always present and knowing that means you design and act in a manner to equalize outcomes since that is the only way the impact of racism can be minimized. Racism is NEVER removed. It's as fundamental to humans as breathing. You can only hope to minimize it, not eliminate it. Even believing you can eliminate it is a racist belief.

The beating of Tyre Nicholas was not racist because the cops who beat him were not racists acting with racist intent. Their color has nothing to do with the matter. If they were beating him to enforce Jim Crow laws or beating him to enforce Black Nationalism then we would call those actions racist. They were beating him because they were badly trained and just bad cops. They also weren't bad cops because of their race. They were just bad cops period. If a review of hiring standards revealed a trend that allowed so many bad cops to be hired, it would be good to change that standard.

This a decent baseline analysis. The problem with it and why it is presented but not discussed or debated is that it doesn't really survive any questioning or scrutiny. All parties are relieved of any of their own choices and agency. They all are passively just executing the plot and actions of "the system" which really doesn't have anyone responsible even at the top. The entire leadership could have been black, Democratic or whatever variable is supposed to represent "systemic change" and it still doesn't change. In many Democratic cities and states this single sided leadership has been in place for 40-50 years.

This is the crux of why this doesn't work. A march, some sort of signaling, doesn't change anything. Many departments have gone much deeper than this mandating certain types of leadership, hiring and so on and it still doesn't change anything. The problem is believing in a systemic solution relieves people of their individual agency, choice and eventually action. Studies have proven this. If a man is beating a woman on the subway and she cries out for help, the bystanders will heartlessly stand idle and wait for the appropriate elements of "the system" to come and do their job.

It CANNOT be done this way. When it fails the blame is shifted and demands for more power, bigger change and more control of "the system" are required by those who said it was the solution and watched it fail.

When "community policing' fails then defund the police. When defunding the police fails, its the economic and tax structure. When that chases away businesses and companies, then the problem is "capitalism", heteronormativity, sexism and so on.

You blame Republicans but you cannot point to a blue city, county or state where policing works in the manner you state. If anything the crimes have gotten so terrible in most blue governed areas that the instances of crimes like Tyre Nichols have simply become background noise for the massive array of property crimes, rapes, murders and more.

So how is a cop supposed to deal with a violent drug dealer in Chicago? Should they say "pretty please"?.

It is sad that lefties pretend to see problems where there are none. Do they have actual solutions? I do not see any. Why? Because there is no problem to begin with.

CRT is garbage BS looking to solve a problem that does not exist.

BLM was born from the narrative that Treyvon Martin was an innocent black boy, looking much like Obama's son if he had a son, walking back from the grocery store with candy and a soda pop gunned down in cold blood by a white hispanic man out to kill blacks. As opposed to shot by the guy he is sitting upon whose head he is pummeling "MMA style"

And then energized by the narrative that Michael Brown was shot in cold blood with his hands up in the air pleading "dont shoot" following his similarly innocent trip to the grocery store. As opposed to reaching for the cops gun, walking away when that fails and returning to charge the cop.

And then exploded with George Floyd and an accompanying, massive media and politicians' campaign o stoking outrage.
While everyone was told they had to stay home from school, work, out of the home activities to avoid COVID,....unless you wanted to do mass protests where you march tightly together in large crowds prior to the vandalism, looting and arson.

"Stocking outrage" is what they do because rational argument doesnt work for them.

And what did either author write that made you say THAT? Can you cite anything, or are you just echoing the unfounded, anti-intellectual 'woke' sentiment of the hyperliberal Left?

Sit on him for no more than 5 minutes while getting cuffs on him. 4 sitting and helping the other one to put on the cuffs should do it.

We also can't let the steal this tragedy. This young man was murdered by out of control cops. That should NEVER happen in America.

This is supposed to be an elite police unit, yet they act like a killed pack of street thugs. How did that happen? At one point there were far more than 5 officers involved on scene, why did the over officers not stop the violence and arrest the out of control officers?

Yeah... but exactly WHAT is either your 'acceptance' or 'rejection' based on?! If it isn't science, then what can it be? Simple subjective FEELINGS? Surely you weren't taught to think that way at the college level....

Well, some Jews and Asians in general, not just Chinese, score higher on average on IQ tests. Anything athletic or physical Africans excel with on average higher muscle mass, bone density, lung and heart capacity. On average superior. But both above factors are broad bell curves with each race overlapping with most people in the middle together. As a white guy if I had to pick a race of my opponent in a boxing match I might pick an asian. If I had to pick a race of someone to make a $100 bet I could score higher on an IQ test I might pick black, and recognize that in both cases I still might lose terribly.

OR, could I argue whites on average are superior in that although we on average are not as intelligent as the asians and on average not as physically capable as the blacks, we have just the right amount of both

Did you not read the statement? Have you not learnt that “science” can and often is misrepresented by the authors doing selective cherry picking and misquoting

in other words it is white supremacist rubbish

And IQ tests can vary in a population from generation to generation - and that is the point. You have tall muscular Asians and short skinny Africans (example Pygmy and Kalahari). The indigenous Australians have a broader range of hearing and it is posited they have a “thrifty” gene to survive desert conditions and which makes them susceptible to diabetes.

I am not saying there is no genetic variance but there is not genetic evidence showing enough differences to mark one group “superior” to another

I did, They reject the theory that for instance IQ difference between races is due to genetics or evolution, because they dont know what the differences are due to. Seems irrelevant whether the difference is due to genetics or what part of the globe your ancestors came from. The differences are there.
And stupid to call it white supremacy when the Asians and Jews score highest on the IQ tests.
