So, the flight attendant was doing her job following the rules and you interpret it as a liberal trying to dishonor soldiers. >>>Off Topic Removed<<<

Rules are rules but...what? Republicans like to say that the reason some people's wages aren't higher is because they don't do their jobs. Now we have a flight attendant doing her job, and conservatives don't like it and some think it is some liberal plot. Republicans like to pretend they support the troops when it costs them nothing, but try to get them to approve higher wages for the troops, or more funding for medical care for veterans and their caring for the troops magically disappears. But hey, it costs the nothing to grandstand against a flight attendant doing her job by following the rules.

Wrong. The article said the following:
"The station reported that Marle took his seat, declining offers to swap places with first-class passengers".

The SOLDIER declined offers to swap places.

As for only a liberal acting this way,do you mean only liberals follow the rules? Well you heard it, employers, hire only liberals because others don't believe in following the rules.

When you can post a conservative that denigrates our military or burns an American flag, then yes, it is only liberals that treat our military that way

Still waiting for one of you liberals defending this rude flight attendant, to post the rules that she is not allowed to hang the coat of this soldier?

Conservatives only use the military when it is to their advantage. Like when they need to bash a liberal or pump themselves up to look more patriotic.

This thread is starting to get redundant with the same arguments going around in circles.

For the last time. It's not the fact that the flight attendant refused to hang up the Soldiers jacket in the first class closet. It's the manner by which she handled the situation.

Her ATTITUDE is the reason why this became a news story. The fact that the man was a Soldier in uniform does likely contribute to the reason this made the news. Not only was she rude she was rude to a Soldier. In a society that holds in the military in high regard that is seen as even worse than being rude to a civilian. If she were rude to a man in a business suit then would this have made the news? Probably not. She would still likely have been reported but it would more than likely have been kept internal. So yes him being a Soldier does play a role in the popularity of this story, but that isn't the main reason it made the news, the main reason it made the news was because of her attitude. If she would have kept her professionalism then this wouldn't have developed into a story.

Yeah, pointing out the obvious is to our advantage? :roflol:

Trying being honest, only liberals act like this to our military, that is unless you can post something that says conservatives treat our military disrespectfully

There are ways to do your job and there are ways to do your job. How bad must her attitude have been "doing her job" if passengers immediately started tweeting the airlines. She obviously was nasty. If she had PROPERLY done her job, it wouldn't have gone viral, now would it? She EMBARRASSED her airline with her behavior and should be at the very least reprimanded.
She actually told a passenger that she would have to get the pilot if he didn't go back to his seat. And he said that he regretted not calling her bluff. If you are surly to your customers, what should your employer do? Does he want to lose business because you can't control your mouth?

I would agree with this. Customer service can be difficult, but sometimes a person in that role will be put in a situation where they have to stop and access the situation to find the best way to make someone happy so that you can move on to the rest of your day. I deal with it everyday in the construction field. Can't take stuff personally and have to realize the person on the other end have their stresses too.

Making people happy is the MAIN job of customer service.

Republicans don't need the military or anything else to bash Liberals. They do a good job of bashing themselves every time they speak.

I take it you do not know who to catch a money, do you? Or any animal. The analogy used came from a movie called, "Shaka." It was a miniseries in the 1980's. Just as it is easy to catch a monkey, it is just as easy to catch a tea party member. The piece of fruit or shiny object is President Obama, liberalism, progressivism, etc. The mere use of the word beings the ire of the Tea Party no matter how irrational or illogical the Tea Party argument is. Such is the case with Sgt Bendgahl. That is why the Tea Party is trying to convince anyone and everyone that this person is a traitor and a deserter no matter if the acts do not support the claim. And the Tea Party have been the loudest betating on the frums for not to bring Sgt. Bendgahl home no matter what the united States doess. The prmise of leaving no soldier left behind comes with an asterisk that only if it meets the tea party political agenda and that is all.

As for the soldiers, tyey have given their testimony to the investigators in 2010. That investigations, with other evidence, will decide. And if I were to interview them, I would suspect that personal bias influences their opinion and that the facts do not confirm their opinion.

Do you support the Tea Party or don't you?

Punished yes, but there are lots of ways to punish an employee and not fire them. However, even if the story goteen out and the flight attendant refused, there would still be some demanding that the military person should have been accommodated and any denial was purely political. That has been stated several times in this thread by more than one poster.

Keep in imnd, the argument of this whole affair is that the bad customer service was intentional AND political. Why else would one make a declarative statement that "this is how liberals treat the military."

Tea Party supporters exhibit the same attitude toward entitlements that the tea party criticizes on a daily basis. Whether it is changing thr design of the American Flag to attitudes that members of the military should be treated differently than other people in the same calls on an airplane to the judgmental attitude towards any group or person that does not fit into their political agenda are perfect examples of Tea Party entitlement emphasis.

Depends on the facts and circumstances. For instance, the pilot who crashed the pnane on the Hudson river definitely had a bad day, but that was based on the mechanical failures of the plane. Wouldn't you agree?>

Or the "pilots" of flight 93. they definitely had a bad day and crashed the plane well before its intended target. In that case, I exalut and I am saddened of the passengers who did what they had to do despite the fact that the President denied they were heroes.

Facts and details determine the outcome, not political ramblings by a political party that tends to ignore facts, science, and other relevant situations.

You have to admit that Liberals do not support the military generally. Obama has proven that time and again by downsizing and not listening to the generals' opinions.I have no clue why the woman did what she did, but what she did was wrong. The soldier was not demanding that she hang his coat. He politely asked. He did not make a scene. That was done by the stewardess and the passengers who did not like what they saw. You seem to want to make it political. The airlines obviously did not like the way he was treated either.

There are other ways to punish someone indeed. I am not personally calling for her to be fired I never want to see anyone lose their job. However, if she were to be fired then I wouldn't be upset about it because that would be the same punishment given to any other customer service representative who lashed out at a customer.

Having a bad day isn't normally a good enough excuse for your boss.

What I highlighted in bold is what gets my ire. These types of rash, generalized, judgemental statements is what is wrong with US politics today.,

the problem is that liberals support the military just as mush as any other political group. Their definition of what it means to support the military may be different from NeoCons, Tea Party, or establishment Republicans, but they support the military. For instance, Henry B Gonzales, from San Antonio, was a staunch liberal. Yet he supported the military during his tenure as a United States Representative. So did Sen Inouye, a CMH recipient and another staunch liberal. And I can go name after name after name of liberals who support the molarity. there has been no evidence of President Obama not supporting the military. In fact he has supported the military as a whole. What he has not done is give in to demands by specific groups who want to politicize an event to their own political advantage. You can disagree with the decision, but difference of opinion does not tantamount to support or lack of support of the military.

You have to keep in mind that customer service is not just to external customers, but to shareholders and stakeholders of that airline. This means that her past performance and her repore with the flight crew will also be weighed in. My guess is that she will be deomoted from lead flight attendant to flight attendant. But we will probably never know the outcome.

Please post other than their opinion, the TEA Party has anything to do with this investigation?

Liberals live on entitlements. What is it, the "do as I say, but not as I do" hypocrisy. I think the Tea Party dislikes Liberals as much as Liberals dislike the Tea Party. Anything to excess is no good.

Everyone in America lives on some form of entitlement. But the problem with the Tea Party is that they want the use of entitlement and deny it to others because of political gerrymandering, hypocrisy, and the exhibition of the superiority complex.

Obviously, reading comprehend is not your forte. Look, by claiming you support the Tea Party, then you support the Tea Party's attempt to be judge, jury, and executioner of Sgt. Bendgahl's situation without any knowledge of any facts whatsoever. By stating he is a deserter and a traitor proves my point in its entirely..

I asked you to post something that has the TEA Party involved with Bergdhal, you didn't, and can't, so stop the bull(*)(*)(*)(*). You have the same facts as any other opinion, and unless some revelation happens that changes, Bergdhal smells like a traitor and Obama exchanged 5 of the worst murderers on the planet for him, that is a fact

The flight attendant was only following orders just like the Army Ranger has to follow his orders.
