I’m not against the covid vaccination – if you want to be vaccinated, have at it; assuming the vaccine works, then vaccination is the path to normalcy.

I question the supposed need for a vaccination after you already had and survived an infection.
Seems to me, once you get (disease x) you are then immune to (disease x).

    Thus, I ask:
-What can the vaccine do that you immune system has not already done?
-If your immune response to the virus itself does not provide protection from re-infection, how will your immune response to the vaccine protect you from an initial, or re-infection?

Now I know what the CDC, et al, say, about this, but I haven’t seen anyone ask, much less answer, my questions.

They recommend the vaccine for those who have survived an infection for two reasons: 1) it acts as a booster and 2) there is evidence that folks with long-term effects from the infection see significant recovery after receiving the vaccine.

Regarding the booster effect, it's not always clear which part of the virus your body's immune system triggered off of, if you got covid. For many, it's the spike protein, but it could be part of the capsid, or another protein component, or one of the virus's products once it infects a cell. Furthermore, there's evidence that the virus causes problems with an infected host's immune system. That has been the suspected cause for folks who have more severe complications from infection. That can impact your immune system's ability to "remember" the infection and effectively fight if off if you encounter the virus again. Getting the vaccine doesn't have any of these drawbacks or uncertainties.

Anecdotally, related to number 2, I personally saw my 90 year old grandmother fully recover from the long-term effects she had after surving covid back in October. In January, she could barely get 10 feet away from her door, using a walker, to get the mail or let her dog relieve himself. She was having meals delivered most days because she couldn't cook for herself, and various family members were cycling through cleaning her condo each week. A couple days after her second shot, so three weeks after the first one at the beginning of March, she was able to walk around the block unaided and is cooking and cleaning for herself again.

Great questions, and it seems only a minority of doctors are willing to address them. A friend of mine has such a doctor. They did blood work on him, determined he had strong T cells and a strong immune system, considered that his wife had been previously infected, and advised him against taking the shot.

The injections are the direct result of a huge scam pushed on the American people and the world by wicked men, mad scientists.

There is no sound logic behind taking a dangerous experimental drug to defend against a virus with a 99% survival rate.

Fools rush in where wise men fear to tread.

I disagree with this. The path to normalcy is for people to start visibly and confidently rejecting the covid tyranny that their governments are implementing upon them (e.g. mask mandates, social distancing mandates, vaccine passports, etc). The current abnormalcy (covid tyranny) only continues because WE allow it to continue due to our own fear and general lack of virology/immunology education. In fact, it is known that covid can be easily and effectively treated with hydroxy or ivermectin, especially ivermectin. India has been making use of ivermectin atm and it has been working wonderfully for them. The mainstream media suppresses this information and instead acts as if as many people receiving a vaccine as possible is necessary in order to return to normal. They also suppress all of the horrible side effects that people jabbed with the covid jab have been experiencing.

I've been choosing to live my life as normally as possible ever since a bit after this whole thing began. I absolutely refuse to wear a mask anywhere during my own private time. I purposely wear it below my nose at work, and I will wear it for a short bit just to receive medical care (which to this point has only been dentist appointments). I do not concern myself with the social distancing BS. I do not tune in to the manipulative media fear mongering, I still visit friends and family all the same. I still travel around all the same. I still go out hiking all the same.

I've made a few changes since this whole covid tyranny began, however. I purposely have my aunt cut my hair now. I purposely shop at local independently-owned stores as much as possible now (who are not mask nazis), as I do not wish to monetarily support multinational corporations who are mask nazis, hate capitalism, and hate working class people like me. I have shifted my mindset more towards an anti-vaxx line of thinking (even though I am not anti-vaxx as of yet anyway). This next change was even before covid began, but I've expanded upon it ever since it began... I have become sort of a prepper and wish to be prepared for the hard times that I believe are going to be on the way fairly soon.

Correct. There is absolutely ZERO need for anyone who has had covid to receive a covid jab.

Nothing, other than potentially cause you harm (allergic reaction, fatigue, muscle pain, skin peeling, bell's palsy, paralysis, organ failure, anaphylactic shock, autoimmune issues, death, etc)...

Bingo. You got 'em hook, line, and sinker with this question.

There are so many things about this whole covid tyranny that make absolutely zero logical sense.

** "My mask protects you and your mask protects me"... Ummm, so you're telling me that viruses cannot escape out of a mask, but they can somehow enter through a mask, even though you are talking about the very same mask pores? Is this a magickal one-way mask?

** "Masks stop viruses, but you must wear a mask too!" Ummm, doesn't YOUR mask work? Why should I have to wear one? This is an admission that they don't believe that their mask actually works to stop viruses.

** "Vaccines work, but you must get vaccinated too!" Ummm, doesn't YOUR vaccine work? Why should I have to get one? This is an admission that they don't believe that their vaccine actually works.

** "Let's install plastic barriers at counters as covid safety protocol". Ummm, isn't covid an airborne illness? Air travels AROUND a plastic barrier, right?? How is that doing anything useful, exactly?

** "Let's wrap credit card machines, remote controls, etc. up in plastic as covid safety protocol". Ummm, is one not still touching the same surface as everybody else? How is that doing anything useful, exactly?

** "I'm morbidly obese, but your refusal to wear a mask is harming me!" Ummm, isn't your morbid obesity already harming you? Ummm, how can I infect you with a disease that I do not have?

The complete insanity surrounding this covid tyranny is truly mindblowing... And that's only a few of many examples that I have come across.

Yup. Pure propaganda and fear mongering. They don't know their own ass from their mouth, and they've done complete 180s on numerous guidelines and just made up nonsense as they've gone along. I see no reason to trust them or listen to any of their "guidelines".

    They are good questions indeed.

There is no need for a "booster". There is no need to be injected with foreign matter when you've already been exposed to covid-19 in nature. I personally don't wish to be injected with foreign matter to begin with.

I haven't seen any such evidence.

I would consider all of the known side effects of the covid jab to be drawbacks.

    Okay.

the more one is exposed the better odds of the body learnign to defend itself, doesn't hurt to still get the vaccine, it's free
but I agree, not really needed imo, just a extra precaution

it's like being exposed to the virus after the vaccine, just in reverse

All evidence indicates the contrary. Fine if you don't want to get it, you can freeload off of the herd immunity the rest of us are helping to achieve.

    https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/vaccines-long-covid

Most folks get a sore arm, a smaller subset are just a little tired for 24-48 hours, an even smaller subset get a low-grade fever for a couple of days, and a tiny fraction have more severe flu-like symptoms for up to 48 hours. Compared to what most people experience with covid, they're very minor.

the biggest proof the vaccine is working is to look at the numbers, the vaccine is working and we are already seeing the results and we are not even at 70% vaccinated yet

:flagus: I thank all the Patriotic Americans that have already got their vaccination or will in the near future :flagus:

There is no reason whatsoever to get a vaccine if you have natural immunity. Only the government would tell you otherwise.

Doctors and medical researchers also say people should get the the vaccine even after recovering from covid. Why should anyone believe folks like yourself over them?

Herd immunity happens naturally, regardless of vaccines. Vaccines are not necessary for herd immunity.

This article is filled with a whole bunch of "we don't know" "maybe this" "maybe that" "it's possible that" and other language that indicates that they are just making schiff up. It also makes reference to people reporting their feelings, which is done in an unscientific manner and people might not remember correctly or aren't completely honest about their feelings, etc., so that doesn't mean much of anything to me.

Other folks experience allergic reactions, skin peeling, bell's palsy, paralysis, hives, anaphylactic shock, organ failure, and death. You know, minor stuff like that...

The biggest proof that street lights are working is to look at the lack of elephants in the streets, the street lights are working and we are already seeing the results and are not even at 70% street light installation yet.

No one said it can't happen without vaccines, but it happens a heck of a lot faster with them, and with fewer deaths and complications.

All I said was there was evidence, you said you hadn't seen it. Now you have.

That is all incredibly rare, with most of it being a standard reaction to any vaccine, not specifically one of the covid vaccines. I'll ask again, are you fully anti-vaxx or just specifically against the covid vaccines?

YOU know it, I know it, ANYONE with the brains to question whether to pick up a rattlesnake and kiss it knows it...BUT...it's now a religion by every measure, and it's adherents will swallow ANYTHING their prophets reveal; lies, inconsistencies, and complete 180's be damned...try to point it out and they stick their fingers in their ears goin' "nyah, nyah, nyah.."; they took Trumps comment about bleach out of context and had a field day with it...BUT... IF Dr. Anthony "What'll I tell "Em Now?" Fauci or the CDC "recommended" today they do EXACTLY that...tomorrow the shelves would be bare. "PATHETIC" has to be the word, I can't think of any other in the the English language that adequately describes it.

While I appreciate your response, you don't really answer the questions:
-What can the vaccine do that you immune system has not already done?
-If your immune response to the virus itself does not provide protection from re-infection, how will your immune response to the vaccine protect you from an initial, or re-infection?

I answered both of those questions in the paragraphs after that initial sentence: ensure that your immune system recognizes and "remembers" one of the most common elements of the SARS-CoV-2 virus -- the spike protein. If you were infected by the virus before, there's no guarantee that your immune response was triggered by the spike protein, so you may not have the normal secondary immune reaction if you encounter a variant that does not have the antigen that did trigger your immune response. There is also some evidence that the vaccine is helping so-called "long haulers" recover from their lasting effects of covid.

In the perverse humor department, people have been conditioned to believe that the only way they can return to normal is by having a toxic drug injected into their body so that their DNA can be changed. Egads, the human race is way more gullible than I ever thought possible.

    You have assumed wrong

The classic is Tetanus - you HAVE to be vaccinated because contracting tetanus does not confer immunity

The virus was already on the way out when the majority of people started getting the experimental treatment.

Do you know why this kind of treatment has never been used before? Failed animal trails. No animal trials for this treatment just two phases of human trials and the human guinea pig public as the third phase. The possible downside will be those vaccinated may die at a greater rate than the pandemic a year or two down the road if exposed to a variant if not inoculate every six months for the rest of their lives.
