    Not making anything up. Coercing a foreign leader to do your political dirty work by holding up military aid is abusing the office.

    I understand the spin to try and make it not so but the facts remain.

    Please explain what you consider my flip. Your comment has nothing to do with the House holding a trial. The House impeaches the Senate holds the trial.

    And I don’t think anyone ever thought that the Republican Senate would ever conduct an actual trial to determine Trump’s guilt or innocence. There was a bit of hope that maybe a couple of Republicans would actually honor the oat they took but that was just a bit of news hype. Most knew the Republicans had sold their souls long ago.

    But that was to take action on a prosecutor that was not acting on corruption, was it not? Why would he want to get a prosecutor who was turning a blind eye to corruption turfed if he was himself involved in corruption?

    Not that I think his son being on a board that he had no qualifications for wasn't a little sleazy but that is par in US corporate politics these days. Was it criminal?

    That already happened(Bergdahl) where the court took a ridiculous proposition that the proper ruling would be agreeing with the President and so as to not appear influenced by the POTUS, give Bergdahl a lesser sentence.

    And far from being laughed at, the charges are quite serious. Insubordination and leaking. If he's upset, he shouldn't have taken these actions.

    Do you have any evidence he was investigating the son's company? The EU and IMF wanted him gone too specifically because he was not investigating corruption - right?

    That's why Biden wanted him gone before the gave the money. He refused to act to clean up Ukraine's corruption.
