Then count the $194.9 billion in surplus that happened WHILE he was speaker. He and his replacement Republican are the only 2 with surpluses.

And where did those "surpluses" go? Were they spent on the debt? Or were they spent? Or did we never have them to begin with and that is why the national debt still went up every year?

You are hopeless. They kept the debt from increasing as much as it would have without the budget surplus.

And now you go on "ignore" as I cannot be bothered by your intractable prejudice in face of facts, any more.

I'm favoring Gingrich. Most of his views match up with mine and I see him as the only viable candidate left. He's the only one who could win against Obama.

-Romney is Obama. I'm not going to vote out blue obama and put red obama in the same place. I've had enough with Obama's policies and anyone even close to thinking like him.

-Santorum is a religious nut job. He wants states to determine the legality of selling condoms, wtf, why don't you ask the states the determine the legality of selling computers - what an absolutely retarded campaign point. He also cannot relate to most of America.

-Paul. Wow. Where do I even begin. He's a fruit cakes, and everytime I see him on stage I think more and more that he's sinking into senility. Hes fanatic fan following is bad enough...but he has no foreign policy....no plans for defense.....no plan for the country.....he's a truther....and he's got proven documents showing him as a racist (documents he denies knowing about, but can be seen on youtube advertising...). I expect Paul to be the next one to drop out.

A detestable human being who could be a good president vs another empty suit who basically bought his unreasonably low tax rate even though he makes 50k a day by doing nothing....

I hesitantly pick Newt though it annoys me that a career adulterer has the "Family Values" vote.

Woot, I got put on Ignore because I totally crushed his world that said the government is always right. That is like getting de-friended in Facebook for telling someone the protesters with masks over their face are cowards.

Oh well, I can't speak to the person that won't listen to someone other that what his GOP government masters tell him. I bet if they told him that eating horse crap would extend his life by 5 years, he would switch his diet.

Rush Limbaugh, Mike Reagan Blast Romney for Smears on Gingrich

Ronald Reagan’s eldest son Mike Reagan has issued a statement lambasting Mitt Romney and his supporters for claims that Romney’s Republican presidential rival Newt Gingrich was a strong critic of President Reagan.

Mike Reagan says such claims are false.

Even Rush Limbaugh, shocked by the Romney claims, chimed on his Thursday radio broadcast to say, "This is obviously a coordinated attack to take Newt out here in Florida."

Rush slammed the Romney-backed smear campaign against Newt.

“That kind of stuff is why people hate Romney so much," Limbaugh said.

Limbaugh added that Newt has always been a conservative from his early days in national talk radio in the 1980s.

“He was perhaps the premier defender of Ronald Reagan,” Limbaugh said.

On Thursday, Mike Reagan, a respected conservative commentator, responded to the Gingrich critics with this statement to Newsmax:

“I am deeply disturbed that supporters of Mitt Romney are claiming that Newt Gingrich is not a true Reaganite and are even claiming that Newt was a strong critic of my father.

“Recently I endorsed Newt Gingrich for president because I believe that Newt is the only Republican candidate who has both consistently backed the conservative policies that my father championed and the only Republican that will continue to implement his vision.

“It surprises me that Mitt Romney and his supporters would raise this issue — when Mitt by his own admission voted for Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale who opposed my father, and later supported liberal Democrat Paul Tsongas for president.

“As governor of Massachusetts, Romney’s achievement was the most socialistic healthcare plan in the nation up until that time.

“Say what you want about Newt Gingrich but when he was speaker of the House he surrounded himself with Reagan conservatives and implemented a Ronald Reagan program of low taxes and restrained federal spending.

“Newt’s conservative program created a huge economic boom and balanced the budget for the first time in more than a generation.”

Mike Reagan concluded: “I would take Newt Gingrich’s record any day over Mitt Romney’s.”

And Nancy Reagan, Reagan’s wife, has stressed Gingrich’s close relationship with her late husband.

In a 1995 speech at a dinner honoring Ronald Reagan, Nancy said: “The dramatic movement of 1995 is an outgrowth of a much earlier crusade that goes back half a century. Barry Goldwater handed the torch to Ronnie, and in turn Ronnie turned that torch over to Newt and the Republican members of Congress to keep that dream alive.”

I say if Romney is nominated to face Obama, Obama will be reelected and the American citizens will endure another four years of misery, unemployment and the like... the American currency will be akin the Italian Lira after the Second world war... You needed a big valise of Liras to buy a pack of cigarettes.

Obama should be confronted by a street smart like Gingrich who is not afraid to tell it like it is... My heart tells me Gingrich... But hey, you pick your own.

I refuse to vote for people who:

1.) have nothing in common with me other than national existence
2.) sustain an illegitimate, moralless, anti-Divinity, anti-Original system
3.) I do not play politics being that The Heavens, The Earth, Man nor The Universe where created in jest, which politics are
4.) none of them have ever or will ever prepresent me, for if they do they would be against themselves
5.) the system which they represent is all about the few, surpressing, oppressing, murdering, robbing, misleading people in general and origin people in general

Knowing these facts, I cannot in good conscious defend, promote, endorse or vote for any of them.

I would have said Newt easily 2 weeks ago...but he is NOT acting like a Conservative with his attacks on Romney, and frankly I'm getting tired of listening to his freakin voice at this point.

I am SOOOOO pissed off right now, these two guys are going to RUIN it for us! Quit playing these juvenile games, and stick with the important issues! The more info they use to attack each other, the more people are not going to vote for either one of them!

Newt recently said something to affect that Romney was clueless because he sits back and collects his 27million for not doing anything. Like, who the F is he? What exactly is wrong with the fact that Romney made some great investments? I'm sure Romney has put in many hard years to be where he is today. I'm convinced now that Newt is by no means a Conservative. It's a farse.

Are they trying to get Obama elected again, or what?

Maybe, I'll vote Santorum at this point. Newt had it, he lost it....he's done.

How's he going to do that when he's going to let some of the 8 million illegal aliens in the country stay here (with amnesty) and continue working (and taking jobs away from unemployed Americans). And don't forget these invaders are also sending Billion$$$ out of the country in remittance$$$. That helps to fix the economy all right > Mexico's economy.

You are 100% clueless about what his foreign policy is because you never took the time to read about it.

And I have to laugh....did you seriously just use "youtube advertising" as a viable source??

You are 100% clueless. You just came in and made a post about how I post. How ignorant is that? Oh wait, rhetorical question....really (*)(*)(*)(*)ing ignorant.

Thanks for the laugh bro. If you have any real responses to me...let me know.

Newt's plan leaves it up to local boards. There is no guarantee any will be allowed to stay.

What is Romney's plan let the go home on their own?

Newt said he would let those who have been in the US a long time, stay here. That's amnesty. Romney opposed him on that. And yeah, Romney's plan is self-deportation by attrition. But that is tied to strong enforcement on employers. When the illegal are locked out of the American job market, they no longer view this as a good alternative to their home country.
Should be strong pressure exerted on Mexico too. Why should the illegals go back there, if jobs there are just as unattainable as they are here ?

This wouldn't be enough though. You still have to stop the anchor baby racket and the use of false IDs, and the welfare drain that comes from them.

Newt. For me, it's a toss up between him and Santorum right now. I actually like Santorum a little bit better, but Newt seems more likely to be the last man standing against Romney. And Romney is my last choice even after Ron Paul.

From European view had no-one a chance against Obama. If a Repuplikaner wins is that for the world a step back.

That is saying amnesty is OK under some circumstances. And what might those circumstances be ? Here's a few possibilities :

    1. When the local board is full of Democrats who want the illegals' VOTES.

    2. When the local board is full of illegal employers who boost their profits with cheap, foreign labor (at the expense of American workers)

    3. When the local board is full of union hacks who want the illegals to fill up depleted union ranks.

    4. When the local board is full of church hacks who want the illegals to fill up empty church pews.

    5. When the local board is full of Hispanics who, for some crazy reason, think it's advantageous to them to have more Hispanics around.

    6. When the local board is full of paid-off soul-sellers.

And here's what I say. Amnesty is NOT OK under any conditions. And the longer the illegals have been here the more they should be deported (they have been casing the most job deprivation for the longest time, and sending the most money out of the US).

I'm 65 years old, and I've been seeing them looking like that for 55 years, in 4 different states of the United States. Really, all it takes is for a board to have a majority of Democrats.

While it's true that Newt Gingrich assisted in balancing the Federal budget 2 consecutive years in a row and is also accountable for reducing America's deficit spending and assisted former President Clinton by creating nearly 7+ million jobs while serving during the Clinton administration. Mitt Romney has a terrible habit of changing positions on political issues more than he changes his own diapers. In fact, I refuse to vote Mitt Romney! Damon Corporation, a company purchased and "supervised" by Romney plead guilty to Federal conspiracy charges for defrauding Medicare $119 billion dollars.

Nice smear tactic using The Damon group where Romney SAT on The BOARD..not in complete control of operations in Day to day stuff.
THE COMPANY WAS FINED..just like NEWT..but did not Throw Romney out..
    UNLIKE NEWT.

That was 20 years ago and already VETTED..meaning it came out before his run as governor and the voting public rejected the idea he was somehow involved.
How has Newt's involvement come out with Fannie and Freddie and has THAT been vetted by any voter group yet ?
PRIVATE Companies dont pay 1.8 Million for a HISTORIAN.

You dweebs should study up on business and how the PRIVATE side operates since you dont know a thing about it.

The government does pay for influence peddling..and NEWT IS and WAS YOUR GUY.
    TEA Party endorsement ?
