FoxHastings said: ↑ And forcing a woman to gestate because she had consensual sex IS saying she committed a crime and must be punished. YES, a ban on abortion is FORCING women to gestate...that's what the ban is for ! DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YES, you are every time you say you'd make an exception for rape...that indicates that you only want to punish women who have had consensual sex by FORCING THEM to gestate
Protecting it from those who wish to dictate how they should live their life. What is it that makes human life so precious, in your opinion? By being anti-abortion you are trying to destroy that which is kind of strange since you also describe it as "superior". Why are you trying to destroy that which is good?
That is the literal definition. Ibreally do not see why it is anball-caps-livel-hilarious and would love for you to explain that to me.
1. Woman has consensual sex. 2. Woman finds herself unwillingly pregnant. 3. Woman is not allowed to abort it. How are you guys not forcing her to give birth and punishing her for having sex?
I'm saying that you can't write laws on this subject that don't seriously impact women's healthcare. You can't write laws that determine whether a woman was raped or experienced incest.
There is only ONE person who knows whether the sex was consensual. And, it sure the hell is NOT Gov. Abbott or Gov. DeSantis.
Oh right. So you can't answer the question because you don't think that the term "elective abortion" is legitimate?
"Elective" is a label used in politics used to indicate who is and who isn't morally justified in having an abortion. It is moral judgement couched in fake medical terminology. https://journalofethics.ama-assn.org/article/why-we-should-stop-using-term-elective-abortion/2018-12 Laws can't draw this kind of line in medicine.
You can't write laws that determine whether a woman was raped? Oh, that's interesting. So how do rapists get convicted?
Then you will be able to provide a supporting definition. I won't hold my breath though! Oh I find it PARTICULARLY hilarious!
Should NOTHING dictate how someone should live their life? As in what makes it distinct from NON-human life? No, I am not trying to destroy it. I fully support people exercising their liberty to dictate their life and pursue their own happiness, so long as it is within the confines of the law of course. And one of the ways in which people can exercise their liberty to dictate their life and pursue their own happiness, is by choosing not to have sex which can likely result in pregnancy. I'm not.
Simply letting nature take its course, is NOT "forcing" anymore than removing someone's life support is 'forcing' them to die. If it WAS "forcing", then yes, it would be punishment. But I think that a much more accurate description would be: EVIL.
Once again, you are in TOTAL CONFUSION! How can you get THIS lost in a conversation thread? I should not have to spoon-feed you, but here is the most recent thread which I included in my last post #4896: And now includes my reply: So where exactly is the mention of RAPE? Do you think that my belief in a right to life is also incompatible with turning off life support?
FoxHastings said: ↑ YES, a ban on abortion is FORCING women to gestate...that's what the ban is for ! DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH You are being deliberately obtuse....and wrong. Obviously you refuse to acknowledge what the word " ban " means.....OR DON'T KNOW . Yes, it is forcing...what TF do you think a ban is for? It's to stop women from getting abortions.. FORCING them to gestate ...why is that so difficult for you to comprehend...it's in English....or can't you just admit you are wrong Yes, banning abortion is quite evil....

WHAT KID? and WHY will he die a painful death ????? you USED THAT COMMENT WHEN I ASKED ABOUT WHY YOU MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR ABORTION IN THE CASE OF RAPE....IS that YOUR ANSWER!!!!!!????? And why are you bringing in life support in a thread on abortion ??? You seem to be all over the place trying to dodge a direct answer
Because you have previously posted in this very thread that abortion is not a right. Though I concede that you may have since changed your position, in which case I stand corrected.
