Notice how these people like to constantly refer to this DD info and even though several of us have asked for a link, none has been provided. And her testimony seems to be evolving over time.

It was raining hard off and on.. and once he realized he was being followed, I doubt he wanted to lead this stranger back to his house.

I keep wondering if George knew every resident and their guests and vistors.

And, I also wonder if the previous 7 burglaries were in the daytime when people were at work and kids were in school.

Margot: "It was raining hard off and on.. and once he realized he was being followed, I doubt he wanted to lead this stranger back to his house."

That's bizarre. If someone were following me and I had a cell phone I'd probably use it to call the police. Mr. Martin wouldn't do that, though. If I were alone on a dark and stormy night and a shadowy stanger is following me, I'd head to a populated location or home. Why wouldn't I go home? That makes no sense.

On the original question of what will happen if Mr. Zimmerman gets off. Perhaps the same thing that happened when O.J. Simpson got off. Nitwits in bars will get on television cheering and slapping each other on the back.

And notice, not a word about Zimmerman being behind him, nothing about Zimmerman chasing him, nothing about Trayvon believing Zimmerman wanting to do something to him and nothing about Trayvon being scared. You people just made it up because it fits so well with what you want to believe

... which he would have unquestionably done had he not felt threatened by Zimmerman which caused him to take evasive action to try and escape the threat that Zimmerman created by his actions...... had Zimmerman not left his truck then Martin would have simply gone home but that didn't happen because Zimmerman did not remain in his truck as he should have done.

Remember that we must take all of the actions into account and Zimmerman's actions unquestionably created a threat to Martin which, in turn, effected Martin's subsequent actions.

We don't know why Martin didn't go directly home because the dead can't testify but obviously the reason he didn't was related to Zimmerman initiating the pursuit. We must also understand that African-Americans don't have the same "trust" in the police that we might have. The police are perceived as the "enemy" of African-Americans in general. African-Americans are racially profiled by police whether the police admit it or not. "Arrested for being black" is a very real problem in America today and the ACLU is addressing this civil rights violation which occurs across the country on a daily basis. Once again, we don't know for sure why Martin didn't call the police that night because he's dead and can't explain why but it is really irrelevant as he had no obligation to call the police. Zimmerman, as a neighborhood watch member and a man in the possession of a deadly weapon did have a responsibilty to ensure that his actions did not present any threat to Martin and that he would not take any action which would lead to a confrontation with Martin.

If this goes to trial and a jury votes "not guilty" it doesn't imply that Zimmerman is innocent of criminal actions. Similiar to the OJ Simpson case it merely reflects that the prosecution did not present evidence that would establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Juries don't make a decision on whether a person is innocent but instead their decision is exclusively related to whether the prosecution establishes guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. People need to remember that simple fact. Having set on a criminal jury we discussed this very issue and we couldn't say that the defendant was innocent but we did determine that the prosecution didn't establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and our decision was "not guilty" in the case.

    TRACE amounts of pot.....

For one, they are so low as to almost certainly not be connected to recent intoxication: 1.5 nanograms of THC were found as well as 7.3 nanograms of THC-COOH, a metabolite of THC that can stay in the system for weeks after cannabis has been smoked. Immediately after inhaling, THC levels typically rise to 100 to 200 nanograms per milliter of blood, although there can be a great deal of variation.

Threatened? Where did you get that idea? The other posters made that crap up about DD saying Trayvon was scared. While Zimmerman was on the phone Trayvon stopped and turned to walk TOWARDS zimmerman. Doesnt sound like he was scared but instead like he wanted to challenge Zimmerman for daring to follow him.

    Look at the property..

Trayvon was standing under the shelter of the clubhouse entrance.. He had to walk towards the truck and past it to go home.

There's no other way to get there.

That's all your fantasy. You do a great job of stereotyping blacks, though. There is one group that does not ever call the police when they're being followed by a neighbor. Burglars. They don't call the police. No, they wouldn't. I have met a number of black people, and other minorities, who did call the police and that's why I met them. Very nice people. The blacks I met who were hiding from the police were usually not very nice people. Occasionally they were very nice people who had simply done something stupid.

It's just my personal bias but I don't think the lynch mob will be satisfied if there is a trial and Mr. Zimmerman is found "not guilty" and I'm absolutely certain the media would be outraged if they found even one unstaged example of two white people cheering the acquital.

Martin did not turn and walk toward Zimmerman. From what we understand he had to pass by where Zimmerman was parked and he might have crossed the street to avoid going directly past Zimmerman.

Not only do we have the reported cell phone conversation between Zimmerman and a girl friend we also have the 911 transcript where Zimmerman reports that Martin begins to run in an attempt to escape Zimmerman's pursuit.

    http://phoebe53.wordpress.com/2012/03/26/zimmerman-911-call-transcript-trayvon-martin/

I don't believe that there is any doubt based upon both the reported cell phone call by Martin and the 911 transcript that Martin was afraid of Zimmerman's pursuit.

You only have the word of a friend for Martin being afraid and not because he said he was afraid but by an assumption made by Crump and the Prosecution interpreting him speaking low. You can clearly hear them leading Dee Dee in that questioning.

I think that early on GZ thought he had arrived because they only questioned him for a few hours the evening of the 26th..

Why he go back to the SPD without a lawyer?

Did he want to give additional statments.. I have a feeling that O'Mara has a fool for a client.

Riiiight, Zimmerman lied while he was talking to the police dispatcher. Did you have some evidence of this or just something youve imagined?

The timeline supports what Dee Dee said about the call.

7:11:42 Zimmerman claims Martin is running
7:13:14 Zimmerman loses Martin, Martin loses Zimmerman, Martin states to Dee Dee around this time that he isn't going to run anymore because he is by his house and sees Zimmerman "a couple of minutes later" (it would only take 30 seconds to make that distance running and only 1 minute to walk the length of that sidewalk from one end to the other)
7:15:30-7:15:45 Z and M meet (a couple of minutes later)

    http://articles.chicagotribune.com/..._1_statements-court-filing-special-prosecutor

"Defendant (Zimmerman) has provided law enforcement with numerous statements, some of which are contradictory, and are inconsistent with the physical evidence and statements of witnesses," the prosecutors said in their court filing.

They said the statements by Zimmerman were admissible in court and "in conjunction with other statements and evidence help to establish defendant's guilt in this case."

The court filing offered no details about the statements Zimmerman made to police or other law enforcement officials. It said Florida's public records law had no provision requiring "the disclosure of a confession" of a defendant.

"The state asserts that this provision includes an admission of a defendant that could be used against him at trial," the filing said.

In a separate court filing on Thursday, Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara joined in the motion to keep his client's statements out of the public eye for the time being.

"There is the possibility that these statements may be subject to motions to suppress, if there is a potentially involuntary statement elicited from Mr. Zimmerman," O'Mara said.

Of course the prosecution would say this, they are building a case based on a story they have to make up.

Trayvon described it as "following". Where do you come up with a "pursuit"?

I am curious about the missing two minutes in Dee Dee's phone call testimony. From the time that Martin quite running to the time they met is about 2 minutes and backed up by the timeline.
