I'm sorry, my poorly informed comrades, but you're wrong, as usual:

employerofdelusions is constantly wrong. Alaska was purchased, my ignorant chum:

    https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/sewards-folly

U.S. Secretary of State William H. Seward signs a treaty with Russia for the purchase of Alaska for $7 million. Despite the bargain price of roughly two cents an acre, the Alaskan purchase was ridiculed in Congress and in the press as “Seward’s folly,” “Seward’s icebox,” and President Andrew Johnson’s “polar bear garden.”

Jimmy Carter was probably the best president the U.S. ever had. Maybe the best president the U.S. ever will have.

I guess it's time for you to learn a lesson.
The Kuznetsov is a heavy aviation cruiser.

An RESD? No, that would be the Spruce Goose.

The Spruce Goose at least could consistently move under its own power.

Admiral Kuznetsov can be described with one perfect Russian word - хуйня!
In crude translation means piece of turd.

The 52 people he left hostage for more than a year in Tehran might well disagree.

The millions who suffered through double digit inflation and double digit interest rates might also disagree.

How often did it do that, pray tell? Perhaps I should ask "how many times did it move at all?"

What is this suppose to mean? Whether or not these vessels were Cruisers or not has nothing to do with the subject. The fact is that the Kuznetsov is a Cruise ship.

Enough that no rational person would think it was less reliable than that Russian POS.

The incident in Tehran was justified pay-back for Operation TP Ajax and Jimmy Carter was not at fault for either event.

I understand that inflation was a problem but it remains that Carter was probably the best president the U.S. ever had and I don't think you can blame Carter for that problem.

There is a reason that plane is called the 'Spruce GOOSE'. No rational person would think it was a success or even useful.

Also, Iran demanded the U.S. send back the Shah for prosecution. The U.S. refused so the hostages remained. Had the U.S. given up the Shah he would have squealed like a pig and the details of U.S. treachery in Iran would now be common knowledge. So ....... the hostages remained.

Norwegian "cruise" lines are cruise ships...with casinos, pools, restaurants, ball rooms, ....ships that carry fighter jets, are ACCs.

Your copter has zoomed off course. The Kuznetsov is a Cruiser and I have presented you with the proof of it.

The same could be said about Russia's disaster of naval aviation, wouldn't you say?

Or vice versa? Wait - Ivan would actually have to be able to make it to the combat zone without being towed there.

Besides, why would we waste expensive ordinance on a 'cruise ship?' :roflol:
