I do not think that Russia would rush to defend Iran as you think. Russia has enough sad experience .Iran is not such a big ally as it may seem. All of Russia's foreign policy aimed at protecting the Russian interests, and of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries.

Thanks for your advice to use google. But I do not need google as I have big personal library. We rude Russians like to collect books, as books help us to survive in Russia. We read good books and we forget about horrors of Putin's regime. Bad books (written by Zbigniev Brzezinsky for example) we use for kindling a furnaces in a winter icy cold. I am just surprised why do you still have not taken the advantage to use your own advice and have not searched in google for something clever?
