So basically what you are saying is that to be a person you need to be born?

    The way it is now?

This is a moral/philosophical issue, laws and what most people think are not good answers to the question.

Personhood is not a philosophical or moral issue. It is a strict mater of law.

Form a philosophical or moral perspective pershonhood does not exist, only the atttitude toward abortion. Is it or is it not acceptable?

If you want to attain personhood all you have to do is incorporate. I don't see what the big mystery is.

I am not sure what you are looking for. Philosophical proof?

    Yep.

What about when it ends? Just curious as to whether you believe brain death is the point when the body is dead?

Brain death is dead. If you are brain dead, you are dead and therefore no longer a person.

The idea that personhood is not to do with philosophy (it is).

At birth when the newborn becomes interactive with the world.

You want me to prove a negative? Why don't you offer something on the positive side? If you believe that personhood is a philosophical concept I am sure you have come across some material that considers it as such.

Surely the foetus has become interactive with the world before that?
There is evidence, after all, that the foetus can hear sounds from outside.

    Very well;

That doesn't mean anything. It doesn't interact with society, and is not a part of society. Not until it is born.

Surely the foetus is reacting to the world, if it is responding to external noise?

Newborns rarely 'interact with society' either.

So a foetus becomes a person when it is born... because it is born?

No it is not. It is within the confines of the woman. When it is born then it is a person.

I agree. The notion that it is some magical thing that comes about at some arbitrary point in development is idiotic at best!

Why should there be any difference? Many dictionaries consider a human being and a person synonymous!
