    that be cool

ie... the knowledge of truth will evolve from the previous generations

Basically, it is why the 'children' are who YOU should be responsible too and they will be YOUR judge.

another concept is that the material knowledge of prior generations is not as 'good' as the knowledge of the next.

For example; in jesus' time, they did not have the internet to affect the progression of knowledge, like today.

YOU are in that time that all them prophecies were talking about and as soon as you humble yourself to comprehend that the kids will be in overdrive overcoming the idiocracies

For example; revelation is about apocolyptic "unveiling"

That was a relatively 'lucent' post, Bishadi. You managed to rise above your OCD and 'Atheist Tourette's Syndrome' to write it. Congrats....OD

Yes, why do Christians lie to their kids about Santa Claus and erect false idol Christmas trees to celebrate their lord and savior? I never did understand that.

Most Christians these days celebrate the secular way...

Just goes to show you that Christians are all fallen men and women just like the rest of you. Hence the need for a Savior. Understand that?

I know of no Christian that thinks of a Christmas tree as an idol. We don't worship the tree nor the gifts nor Santa Claus.

Sure, I'd like to see less commericalization of ALL holidays with more emphasis on the real purpose of the day we're celebrating.

Ok, scrooge. Back to your cave.

But the Bible sees the Christmas tree as an idol. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah+10:1-5&version=NIV Just because most Christians are not aware of of the fact that they are erecting an idol in the place of Jesus does not mean it's not an idol.

Don't you think it's a bit disrespectful for Christians to be erecting these pagan trees when God clearly frowns upon it? Or even lying to little kids about Santa Claus? LYING?

You can call me a scrooge for pointing out these little facts all you want but it's your religion that has a problem with these things. Sorry your religion ruins your fun for you, I will gladly celebrate secular Christmas, or rather the winter solstice, no problem. My beliefs do not conflict with it thankfully. =)

I went thru my 'sincere Religious period' after making my decision to make Jesus Christ the Lord of my life and to follow His words, not being conformed to this world, as such, and studying the paganism that has invaded western society; but managed to raise my 3 kids, and they are in turn doing the same with their kids, to "put perspective in celebrating the Christmas season."

I told them that the birth of Jesus is the reason for the season, but ppl these days celebrated in many different ways: a tree to decorate with a star at the top representing the star of Bethlehem, and decorated in celebration of the birth of the Savior of the world, with presents underneath to give as the Wisemen gave to Jesus, Mary & Joseph. Santa Claus (not real) came from St, Nicholaus (a historical character) to show the spirit of God's giving His Son to the world and to celebrate with a time of festivity.

I grew up in elementary school where we had Christmas plays every year---one year I had 3 parts in 3 different skits: a giraffe in a skit with toys, Santa Claus in skit 2, and a Shepard in the manger scene in skit 3. In our public school, the final skit was ALWAYS the 'real reason for celebrating Christmas."

I found that incorporating ALL of the traditions of our nation when celebrating Christmas worked well for my kids and they are doing the same for theirs. With my and my family's emphasis on the real reason for celebrating Christmas, I have no guilt nor feel any condemnation from the dry religious ppl, many well-meaning as I was once there, who try to point fingers at me and 'shame' me..Sorry to those modern day Pharisees, but my 'liberty in Christ Jesus' has set me FREE from the judgement of men.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

    Oh lookie here.

Christmas trees, or rather just cutting down fur trees, decorating and erecting them in your home, is in fact a pagan tradition. Sorry you don't want to accept it but it's the truth. You can go off and decorate it with all the Christian symbols you want but the result is that you are still decorating a pagan symbol and erecting it in your home and most likely offending your deity all in the name of 'fun!'

Oh, lookie here. A pagan that loves to mock the Christian. You need to get over yourself, your words fall on deaf ears. While you're piling on, don't overlook Easter and Halloween.

Only naysayers think Christians make idols of this crap you cite. We are His and you are not. No wonder you are hostile toward us. But, you too can be saved from your eternal destiny until your last breath.

You've worn your welcome out with me. Onto my Ignore List you go.

See? You tell them the truth and they just get mad. Sorry your religion disapproves of pagan traditions but those are the facts.

The tree was also used by the Pagans around the solstice for having sex under for fertility. So, plz, all you 'Good Pagans" post a pic proving that you are good pagans, including the offspring born 9 mos later (with notarized birth certificates) to validate the ritual.....I know you dont want to judge Christians w/o being fair & likewise honest---oh, wait, no reqmt for a pagan to be 'fair' (or 'honest').......

Why are you all assuming I am pagan? I am simply pointing out a few obvious truths here. Man, you mention the fact that Christmas is really a Winter Solstice celebration and decorating and erecting fur trees in your home are pagan traditions and people just get all kinds of defensive!

Not to mention, I find it really weird that Christians love dropping the "Pharisee" card. You guys sure love to demonize the opposing side doncha? But please, educate yourself. Jesus was most likely a Pharisee himself, it's the Saducees he had a problem with.

Bet that makes you feel great knowing you're putting a fertility tree up in the house every year. Nice job.

You mean to tell me that those evergreen trees have the capability of impregnating women? Wow! That is fantastic news for the guys. Now when a guy is having sex with a woman in the woods and she gets pregnant, the guy can always blame it on the evergreen trees. The trees did it,,, not me.

Funny, I dont see it 'that' way---seems like you must see it as a 'male phalanx symbol' tho, with your multiple sexual refs.

Like I said B4, I have "Peace" and "Joy" with my decisions this time of the "Christ"mas season...sorry that you do not! But if finger-pointing and "pshawing' is your thing in trying to ruin it for Christians, then as the godless, lost, miserable-sounding person you sound like, have a "Merry Pshawing".......

Christmas is mostly a pagan celebration observed in a secular way.

Very little of what people celebrate as Christmas is Christ like.

You wont find 'me' in that picture! Every 'holiday' has been commercialized to make $$$, but how one 'personally' as well as with their 'friends & family' celebrate it is what is important.....I dont look to Santa Claus or Walmart as my savior.

So the picture shows how secularists observe and celebrate that so-called pagan holiday?
