Generally, isn't it a good assumption that a congressman has more intelligence than the average forum poster?

Generally, do people know that islands are not floating in the ocean? I suspect even the dumbest liberal on the government dole here even has such rudimentary knowledge of our planet.

Now, you keep running away from your own arguments. Now why is that? And what will be the next topic you run to as you avoid reality?

Generally people who form an opinion based on one short video clip are not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier....
Hank Johnson, despite that video, is a congressman, does that not register with you?
Do you really believe that a moron could stumble into a six figure job, with great benefits, out of the blue?
Can you not accept that someone who makes it to congress has at least something on the ball?

Considering the people who elected him ... You are damn right I think he could stumble into the job.

It is just like an elected school board member near here who was arrested and eventually convicted of selling drugs on multiple occasions ... as well as Voter Fraud.
When asked by the judge, how he could be accepted by Harvard, elected to public office with a decent salary, and still feel the need to sell drugs to make money ... Bartholomew Claiborne answered:
“I always had a heart to help people … to help a person in need.”

Thousands of residents that elected him wrote letters to the judge saying he shouldn't be sent to prison, because he was a "good guy" and an excellent "role model" for the community.

Yes Sir ... I believe a complete idiot can stumble into a good job ... they can even get into Harvard.

Apparently you don't know much about Hank Johnson. Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that. While his ignorance on Earth is the topper, my opinion on him is also based on his policy positions and other things he has said. I suggest you start by brushing up on his comments on small people being midgets, followed up by his bumbling, stumbling apology. The guy is a complete moron.

Now you are resorting to complete dishonesty. I never denied Hank Johnson is a Congressman. Of course he is. Your straw man argument only shows you don't have a real one to offer.

Of course a moron could do that. It all depends on how stupid, ignorant and uninformed the voters are in that candidate's district. Duh! Sheez, I think you should consider not using these silly "brightest bulb"-type attacks on me, as you are beginning to look pretty silly here.

Depends on your definition of "on the ball". Should I consider myself "on the ball" that I can out-debate a babbling fool on an anonymous internet forum? I submit to you the answer it not necessarily.

Oh and by the way, we're not talking about "generally". We are talking about a specific person and providing specific information that is a strong indicator of his clear lack of rudimentary knowledge.

Now on to your next dodge and tap dance, please.

Idiot is a term that gets tossed around, the original meaning is a person not interested in politics, but absorbed in their own business.
It came to mean a lot of things, but I've heard it applied to CEOs, to presidents and to congressmen.
And sure, the use is subjective, but taking a step back, these are all successful people, by the standards of our society.
So while it may feel good to call people who are much more successful than you, idiots, it really doesn't pass any kind of logical test does it?

But you are ignoring one huge fact in order to make your point, which is an idiotic thing to do.

How do you know Hank Johnson is more successful than Black Sand? I would argue that as a successful entrepreneur, she is more successful than an idiot who managed to convince other idiots he's the man for a government job.

No, I am not ignoring anything. Once again, you are being dishonest. I can't say I blame you though, as you are being pretty thoroughly slapped around on the facts and merits.

Nothing you have said, in any way, addresses, or refutes your opponents. Why are you still trying? Veiled insults, and written acrobatics are all I am seeing here.

Paper tiger? Nah... Origami sheep more like it.

Yo Peanut ... I technically didn't call anyone an idiot ... only said that a complete idiot (by whatever definition you want to imply or use) ... could get elected, or into Harvard.

You just want to act like you are smart ... I didn't ignore anything ... in fact paid better attention than you obviously do.
