Government is not as efficient as the private sector. Government is always a clust fess’s
The U.S. doesn’t have rationing. And we have the most current technology, which isn’t cheap.

Americans are accustomed to paying a lot and getting the best. For example: my son was injured playing football this week. He broke his clavicle on Wednesday evening. Within a few hours, his surgery was complete and he had a titanium plate in his shoulder.

Doctors make too much money because we have a doctor shortage; health insurers too often operate in protected markets their lobbying efforts create; drug companies charge Americans outrageously high prices for prescription drugs; etc.
In Canada, I broke my ankle at around 9:30 AM on the golf course. I saw my GP, got x-rays, saw my GP for the results, was referred to an orthopedic surgeon, and opted for a cast instead of a plate. Done by 1:30 PM.

I notice you concluded covering everyone with high-quality care would break the bank.

Yep and that it's exactly why ban on Medicare should be lifted. Because private health insurers are extremely efficient stealing our money producing nothing in the meantime

Yea because government follows the orders of medical cartel. We need different government, government of people for people, not for private profiteers as it is outlined in the great constitution of USofA

Few are willing to discuss this. Americans are sicker than ever in spite of record use of pharm products. Neither side is willing to stand up to them.

Very few of us reach later adulthood without family of any kind, so that's not relevant. It's on each of us as individuals to care for and nurture our relationships with family, so that when we need them they are there for us without hesitation. We don't have the right to mistreat people, then expect them to help us later. And the opposite is also true, we should all be taking care of our health so that we can help others, and not become a burden to them unnessarily. That responsibility means not indulging in health-compromising habits. No addictions, obesity, etc etc.

Elderly without children are actually quite a rarity. Back then, such people were assisted by nieces and nephews etc.

Sorry , I call B.S on this one, there is no way you saw a GP the same day, got an Xray and then saw your GP the same day

Isnt possible, I lived in Canada for 12 years got an OHIP card , used their healthcare system and friends and family visiting me when I lived in Toronto, Ontario also used the Canadian system and none has ever seen a GP that quick.

We're not a divided nation. Because we're not a nation. We are members of several sovereign states who entered into a political union in 1789.

Family often can't provide the care an elderly disabled person needs even if they're inclined to try, so it is relevant.
Do people live up to your standard?

State boundaries are subject to change by federal statute, and did change, so the fact is states aren't sovereign. As well, many states were formed from U.S. territory.

States leave the union with a federal okay? Nope. The Civil War settled that one.

I'll put up $20,000 against your $1,000 on me being able to prove what I said. We can have an agreed third party verify my claim. We split the fee.

Not only that, but I saw an orthopaedic surgeon at the hospital after seeing my GP a second time to review the x-ray. (Doctor's office is 500 ft. from the emergency, radiology.)
    If you're sure, you can make a fast $20,000. :) :) :)

It started big time under Obama. We expected him to unite the Country but that didn't happen. His Administration further divided it.

Fascinating. So the union government simply ignores the constitution because they win a war? We’re no longer live under a constitutional system?

A very important division happened at the time of the Viet Nam "war". It wasn't the only thing, but it was the biggest. Segregation was next, and then....

I call BS on you. We are talking about a broken bone here so time is of the essence as the bone can heal wrong if therapy is delayed. Any delay at all would be malfeasance. You can and usually will be delayed if the problem is something chronic or where time is relatively unimportant overall and one of the reasons that happens is so things like broken bones, head injuries, excessive bleeding, etc, can be seen quickly as they must.

This right wing BS where people commonly bleed to death in the waiting room is just that.

That is why Trump has been elected.
Any sane person should not vote for anyone who is racially or gender charged. That essentially means only white male can be a president.

Hardly. The Civil War demonstrated what happens to people who try to illegally take part of the country outside of the United States.

Once a state is created by federal statute, it ceases to have sovereignty independent of the Constitution. State boundaries can be changed (Virginia). As well, many states are created from U.S. territory and never existed as a separate entity.

If states can secede based on their having sovereignty before becoming a state, does it mean Texas and Vermont can secede, but Washington and Oregon cannot?

No, we didn't. A lot of us expected the divisions would continue.
