You're a sharp cat, Phoebe. Do you honestly believe the corporation called U.S. government, now a subsidiary of global interests, wants to remove fighting grade weapons because they're genuinely concerned for the welfare of Americans? What, on every other issue they aren't, but on this one, they care?

    -

I wonder, would the foreign Lefties be happier if Americans had a love of Hammers and Knives?

I mean, is it the tool of violence they object to? or the just the very idea that we might actually effectively say NO! to Government?

Of course that would be the country that believes in the second amendment and the freedoms and rights of the people to keep and bear arms.

That which is necessary to the security of our free States must be able to keep and bear Arms to achieve that end.

Is "opening fire on US citizens" always an unlawful order? Are there no circumstances in which it would be lawful?

Not free States, but a free State, there is a distinction. The second amendment guarantees that a State will be able to form a militia if needed. If ever needed, the people's right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. In other words, you can have the second clause in effect at all times but you may never need a militia.

I don't subscribe to that point of view, simply because our Founding Fathers wisely enumerated not just any militia, but a well regulated militia as being necessary to the security of a free State.

Why do we need a selective service for regular military during times which can not be real times of war simply because the wealthiest are not being burdened with it.

What you subscribe to is irrelevant. The Constitution does not say "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of the several states". Individual States decide to form or not to form their own militias. The peoples right to keep and bear arms are necessary if a State wants a militia so the controlling clause is the second one. People have to be allowed the right to keep and bear arms whether there is a militia formed or not.

Does require but becomes much more effective. And it is an inherent right, government doesn't create or grant it, it has one job and that is to protect it.

    Why resort to a straw man argument if you don't have to;

The terms, "well regulated" are specifically enumerated.

The last time I checked all fifty States have recourse to our Second Amendment.

I feel sorry for anyone who can't see the fallacious nature of this method of arguing.

"You support legalized alcohol? You support cars? Then that means you support the drunk driver who killed my aunt!"

Stay away from politics until you've practiced thinking. There's enough retards with their toes in the pool as it is.

There's nothing really fallacious about it. After years and years of school shootings, we're down to choosing between universal gun access and 6-year old kids.

There's an estimated 300 million guns in America. Doctors kill more people. There is no rationale other then bandwagon, regurgitated support of a deceptive notion.

To those who think the government wants to ban fighting grade weapons because they care, let them prove they care by:

Getting rid of fluoride in our water supply.

Banning the plethora of cancer causing agents in the food we consume.

Pulling out of global entities like the U.N. and WTO, which are in place to trump our sovereignty.

Pull out of free trade agreements, put in place to benefit a few producers over the many workers and the success of our national market by destroying demand.

Putting an end to the reign of the two corporate owned parties that have monopolized politics for a century.

Quit taxing Americans at a rate to pay for a central bank that loans our government money, illegal to begin with, to not only prop up the institutions of deceit internally, but bankroll these same institutions by propping up central bank subsidiaries in every nation on God's green earth. Also, while guaranteeing wages will never keep up with inflation, creating an environment where you have billionaires while families of 4 live off of 15k a year.

Quit taxing Americans to pay for the world's police force, while every nation enjoys the peace we provide, getting to use their own revenue for social programs.

Eliminate a tax code thicker than an encyclopedia.

Eliminate a book of law thicker than an encyclopedia.

Free the hundreds of thousands of people incarcerated for nonviolent crimes.

Arrest all public officials in league with foreign nations, or with alien individuals, or affiliated with any group designated to put the world before the nation.

Quit using public trusts like social security as their piggy bank.

Quit letting pharmaceuticals, or any corporate entity for that matter, get away with murder so long as they pay the statist mafia's dues.

Quit letting private entities write the legislation meant to police their own industry, while having public officials masquerade it as their own design.

Put up tariffs on foreign goods, and put the nation's own ahead of those who played no part in making the world's greatest market.

Provide for a public option to healthcare, not an insurance written piece of legislation that serves as nothing more than a cruel joke.

Respect foreign nations and their sovereignty, and get into no disagreements or grievances between 2 nations unless our safety is in direct danger.

    ...........................................................................

I could go on and on. The decisions made by the government that prove they don't care about the people go into the hundreds.

Anyone who thinks the government wants to ban fighting grade weapons because "they care" is part of the problem, not the solution.

"There's hope in blood, just like there's trust in freedom. And the man who knows better, I wouldn't want to be him."

I don't mind blaming our wasteful, War on Drugs for miss allocating our resources to that end, instead of better transportation infrastructure.
