Why Do The Serbs And Albanians Hate Each Other?

A country never fully has it's independence until the country whom it was part of declares so.

Of course, you're absolutely right. This is a privately owned and operated public forum, therefore it can have a flag of the computer desk and no member is in a position to question it, but only to respect wishes of the owner.
When I place the arrow on your displayed flag (Avatar or DP has nothing to do with it) it says clearly:Yugoslavia... besides, I still travel with my Yugoslav passport without problems.

Not only that Kosovo is not a member of the UN, but even some organizations they managed to deal with, as IMF stopped their help due to irresponsibility of their so called 'government'

 

Kosova still have 76 recognitions, when they do 120 they will be in the same level with Serbia.
And go change that passport because that so called Yugoslavia is DEAD and you know it.

 

Any country of the former Yugoslavia at the moment is better than your Albania will ever be.

Excuse me ? Let me put it this way...My Yugoslav passport allows me to travel world wide, while person who is a holder of Kosovo 'passport' has a limited traveling possibilities. If you say that Yugoslavia is a 'dead' country, I wonder what would be qualifications for Kosovo?
Kosovo can't even match Yugoslavia and you try to project some equalization with Serbia.

I'm pointing out to the current regional ranking, in last 10 years Albania developed and of course it needs further development like any other country in the region but let's face it: Nicf uses typical stereotypes against Albania that were developed 20 years ago and honestly no one uses them in Balkans anymore.

 

Do you mean that your Yugoslav passport used to allow you to travel worldwide - that country does not exist anymore any official document released on that name is illegal

Correct . I can see where the confusion came from... I'm not talking about SFRY passport, but SRY passport. After dissolution of SFRY, Montenegro and Serbia stayed in a union which was renamed to SRY (Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia) and it lasted under that name until 2003 when it was once again renamed, this time to Serbia and Montenegro...till the end of the union.

It is pure convenience for the citizens of Serbia to use their passports until the expiring date and then to obtain biometric ones.

There are Serbian citizens who reside in the States and plan to visit families back home but their passports expired. They have an option to apply for a biometric ones and wait at least 2 months to get it, or to apply for a Yugoslav one, which will last till the end of the 2011 and get it in a 20-30 mins for a $38. You do the math

Thanks for the clarification Lena... Actually I didn't know there was a SRY after SFRY, I thought it was directly named to "Serbia and Montenegro" after the dissolution. I tried to Wikipedia SRY but it redirects me to the SFRY...

 

I'm sorry, Breath, it was my bad, I mistyped it 'cause I read it in Serbian -Savezna Republika Jugoslavija- and just typed SRY following our alphabet which I, without too much thinking, 'translated' in eng. to suit acronym, LOL .
It should be Federal Republic of Yugoslavia...search will take you to Serbia and Montenegro, but you can gather few infos about it if you wish to.

1) I read some posts claiming that Serbians where the first ones in Kosovo and than Albanians came etc.

2) Who said that Albanians are muslims? That's not true! in fact there are more atheists in Albania than Muslims, Christians etc. (in Albania, not in Kosovo!)

3) There was a war in Kosovo, both sides did war crimes, thousand of peoples died in that war and after what happened there is no sense that Kosovars should live under Serbians again...

4) I'm Albanian, i don't hate Serbians! actually i'm planing to visit Belgrade and spend some moneys there

Hating each-other for political reasons is what ignorant people do! normal people just live their life!
