Because watching leftist loser actors spew filth out of their pie holes is offensive.

So far I haven't seen a valid reason on why we are censored. The only answer given is because its "indecent". There has to be another reason otherwise this is nothing more than FCC facism forcing their sense of morality on everyone else.

Parents are absolutely free to protect their children and shelter them from things they feel are innapropriate. The government is not. Its not the government's job to censor the "obscene".

The thing is that decency is a completely subjective idea based on someone's own subjective morality. Why again is it the government's job to enforce someone's morality?

The only moral idea that our country was founded on was that the best form of representative government is the one that governs least.

So the government should dictate to us what we are and are not allowed to see based on someone's subjective morality?

so in order to for America to be truly free, my children should see people (*)(*)(*)(*)ing on tv?
or using profanity like (*)(*)(*)(*), (*)(*)(*)(*), etal....
    that makes us freer?
we should allow television to show rape, murders also, how bout incest and/or mutilations, you'd think that will make us freer?
    tv should be regulated just as this site is regulated against the usage of profanity;
here's an example; "you are a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)"
    see regulation at its best

how bout we protect our children from what has been upheld in courts by statute by maintaining some decency, some morality, some assemblance of correct modicums of behavior and interaction......
tv is a public good, and therefore should be regulated utilizing the traditional values that sets America apart.....

The difference is, the government doesn't mandate the profanity filter on here. The owners of the site do. Free market at work.

If TV companies want to censor their programming, more power to them. If other's don't, the same applies.

The government should not be involved at all.

By the way, how exactly is TV a "public good"? Public good are goods and services that people normally would not pay for but everyone uses, so the government pays for them with taxes. That doesn't even remotely describe TV.

Your "values" are not my values do not even attempt to force them on me. As for showing rape, murder, incest, torture etc etc of course not thats not what I am talking about. Not to mention those things are very illegal and rightfully so.

Depends, for example in Spain is usual to greet friends with words like, hola cabron, or say to someone "eres un cabron". And he won't be offended.

Cabron could be translated to English as son of the (*)(*)(*)(*)(*).

It isn't unusual to listen this words or worse in any program. It is the difference. Even see tits on TV, it isn't strange. Or see mamanting a child, it's the most natural. Or being able to go nude in the cities.

Why can't we do all these things? All that is natural. The only thing that can be annoying are the insults; but depends of the tone used on the words.

Another thing I consider stupid the censorchip done of some words in this page, for example. I'm used to the Spanish webpages where I can use normally all the vocabulary, and combine cult vocabulary with vulgar vocabulary what gives an interesting mix to your messages.

For example is stupid the censorship of (*)(*)(*)(*)ing (*)(*)(*)(*), it is (*)(*)(*)(*)ing nonsense, and I'm (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up with this. :-D Why can't I use it normally?

One thing is use to insult to someone and other, is use some kind of vocabulary.

So I agree totally with you. In Spanish even you'll listen in TV programs expressions like "I (*)(*)(*)(*) on your dead people".
