You forgot to say NO State income tax in Texas, lower sales TAX in Texas , and far less liberals too !
Yeah , right . They are hard at work reducing the deficit too ! "It is dangerous to be sincere unless you are also stupid."
Well, there's another reason why the South is growing. A lot of the bluest states are freaking cold. Old people tend to prefer warmer temperatures (as do a lot of people in general).
Cuomo is the worst governor in the US and by far the worst in the Mid-Atlantic, between the soda ban/tax, excessive gun policies and his inability to work with NY Conservatives, I'd take our incumbent governor Corbett, corruption and all over him.
While I don't think Cuomo is the worst governor in the US, he isn't the best either. I think Nikki Hayley is probably the worst governor in the nation due to her inability to work with unions and her position on social programs. Probably the number one reason they have such a high crime rate, particularly in the urban areas.
Too bad Gov. chomo took away those guzzers you are so fond of , wouldn't want you to get too fat . - - - Updated - - - We had our fill of " change " !
And you wonder why blacks, latino's and poor whites have no interest in supporting republican candidates. Keep singing partner! - - - Updated - - - You may drink that crap, but I don't. Keep drinking those guzzers Champ!
I never need some liberal backward thinking NY Gov. to regulate what I eat or drink, or decide if I can own a gun . Thank You , he is all your !
We'll keep him; anything to get the conservatives out of New York and while they are at it, they can take their corruption with them.
I want self reliance. You can not have that in a liberal state. The state government ALWAYS wants to investigate you and insert itself into your lives in some way. Liberals are control freaks who think they get to tell you what to do and if you don't do as they say they will punish you using any dirty rotten trick they can think of to put you down. They also do NOT care about honesty, decency, morality, and integrity. There are several examples of threads that prove this. There are many threads posted that attack the Tea Party and calls them all racist because they have one or two members out of thousands that are racist. They never under any circumstances go to the source, such as their website, to check out what they actually have to say on things. Because if they did they wouldn't have any fun and entertainment hurting people because they'd be proven to be wrong about those kinds of things.
No there doesnt need to be demand, simply hire the workers to build the projects and then build them. Digging holes is one thing. Building infrastructures for businesses and the public to use is quite another. Whats going to stop it? Their support for liberalism ie higher taxes rather than lower taxes is about enhancing opportunity for all, not getting everyone into Manhattan. Which is plainly impossible. Now we both see that lower taxes on these people and everyone else would do nothing else but raise the public debt and would not lead to a boom in private sector investment.
Uh no, the states with the fastest job GROWTH aren't liberal states. For the most part. It sounds like you have far too diametric a view of job markets. When a job sector becomes less friendly, there isn't a sudden Exodus across the Red Sea. State policies aren't even half of what affects jobs. Natural resources don't leave when taxes go up, "home" doesn't move when regulatory policy tightens, and upstate New York doesn't become less beautiful when Texas offers incentives for businesses to move. There are many more reasons that affect job markets and movement of people - state policy is ONE of them. No one ever said it is the only factor.
30 years ago, tax cuts and borrowing and conservative emphasis were not such a problem. They are now.
I just see more taking for the haves. The 1% has doubled its take of the nation's income from less than 10% to over 20% in the past 30 years, and have about 40% of the nation's wealth. It's hurting our nation and economy, and its still not enough. More is never enough.
Pretty much. Though I don't think you can lay "tax and spend" solely at the foot of liberals. The fact is, over the past 5 presidents, it has been the Dems who have cut spending (relative to GDP) and the Republicans who increased it. - - - Updated - - - Feel free to compare the record on deficits of our recent Democratic and Republican presidents!
