Why prostitution and “sexual tourism” are bad?

Prostitution is a good thing. It creates jobs. It encourages spending. It's about freedom.

I'm obviously talking about it when it's consensual and not with pimps and the like.

A lot of sex tourism though involves men going from Western countries to say South East Asia and having sex with 11 year olds who have been sold into slavery.

 

I would not call it “sexual tourism” but rape of underage girl (to be punished with 10 years in jail)

If a woman chooses to be a prostitute, is free to quit whenever she wants, and is safe about it, I don't see anything wrong with prostitution.

I think it should be legalized personally.

 

Feminism was designed so ugly women could get a crack at mainstream life as well. Feminists are usually ugly. That's one of the reasons democrat females are less attractive.

I think the other reason is that they are simply ugly on the inside and over time it begins to affect their appearance.

 

As long as you share all your possessions half an half, to make the deal equal.

It's obvious you have never been to Germany. Go there...go to Frankfurt and to the Kaiser Strasse (a street) and look for the huge sign that is flashing (60 feet tall) that says "Crazy Sex"...while walking there look to the left and right in the windows, flying out of the windows like Little Bo Peep on a swing...it's everywhere there, regulated by the state...the girls have weekly check-ups and they are from all over the world...no fights, no arguments, no problems. Germans don't think it's bad, in fact it cuts way down on "date rape".

Some of us want to set a high moral standard for our children and society. Allowing prostitution is accepting it. They call it "Sin City" for a reason.

 

Sex trafficking is bad -- that usually implies someone being forced into the sex trade against their will.

Prostitution... not so much.

If someone chooses to sell themselves for sex, then I don't see why they should be banned from doing so.

If prostitution was legalized and regulated, it would allow law enforcement to focus more on things like sex slavery, so that they would no longer have to prosecute consenting adults.

 

Feminists are usually ugly- on the inside. There are a lot of feminists that would be pretty and sexy if they could get the feminist's expression off their faces. They can make a feminine move as they walk and move their hands. Feminists can't smile at an attractive man that they don't know and I have never seen one smile at all.

Speaking of prostitution: I have some experience with Thai women and had I been more mature I may have had more compassion for their plight. Some were sold into prostitution by their parents and had to work their way out of the situation, while others were there to make money. In one bar the owner's daughter worked with the other girls and she seemed to like her work. I knew several guys that married girls from town.

I have no domestic experience with prostitutes but I expect that there will be all kinds doing it for a variety of reasons.

Personally, I think that the whole talk about prostitution being "OK" with someone is pure nonsense. After all, would you want your daughter or loved one envolved? Nope. Of course, I suppose there are bound to be a few, like those who would send their children into streets of Israel strapped with explosives, but by in large most people have a conscience and have some symbolance of sanity.

Simply put, prostitution is dangerious. It is a danger health wise no matter how mahy precautions you may take regarding STD's and it is dangerous in terms of abuse from pimps and clients. Many would say that legalizing it would take away the abuse they encounter, but all I can say is that I have walked down Amsterdam's Red Light District just to see what it was all about and many looked under age. One girl looked as if she were in tears. And I could see their pimps in the shadows. Some were even advertizing for their prostitutes. These girls are trafficed from all over Europe to come work in a legal setting for prostitution. Heartbreaking.

Of course, the talk about legalizing it is an entirely other conversation. After all, smoking is bad for you as well. It does nothing but kill you, but should it be illegal?

Really, I don't know why politicians would legalize it. After all, they seem to have the freedom to screw tax payers any time they wish, so why make the effort?

 

They can, actually -- there's another explanation for why they aren't smiling at you specifically.

 

I feel that post represents what every red blooded male thinks of feminists. They are ugly angry women. It's hard to tell if the feminism or the angry and ugly comes first as either could cause the other.

 

If you took away prostitution, how would left-wing women not only get laid, but make any money?

To me, that seems to be about an ideal method to allow legalized prostitution.

I understand the "what if it was your daughter" argument, and no I wouldn't like it. But I would also understand that its her life, not mine.

 

This is an interesting issue.
Guess it could be solved by allowing every woman (even the ugliest) to make a child and raise it alone (or in a commune with other women) with state support.
