'Where are the Jews screaming about how different they are?' We've had several on this very forum, in case it escaped your notice. And it isn't only Jews perpetrating this idiocy...

Hmm, seems to me that the 'word of God'-whichever 'god' it is-is open to interpretation constantly. Christians are conspicuously guilty of this in shamelessly pointing to allegory, euphemism etc., when it comes to the tricky and frankly ridiculous portions of the bible. And there I was, labouring under the misapprehension that god's word was immutable and not open to challenge. Strange that I can't find anywhere in the bible where it tells me to interpret the writings as I see fit...

Very well expressed, Oddie. The latter are the cause of the problems- introduced into the balance pan by moronic Western foreign policy .

Islam has the concept of ijtihad. Interpretation of Islamic doctrine to create new rules for Muslims to follow. In the 11th century Al-Ghazali closed the gates of ijtihad. Effectively taking all matters agreed to by the major Islamic schools of thought in the 10th century, and ruled these matters off limits to new interpretations. Effectively cementing sunnii Islamic thought into the 10th century.

I consider myself a zionist because I support the continued existance of Israel, just as I support the continued existance of all nations. And like all nations, they are free to determine their own immigration policies. Jordan opens immigration to all "arabs", I dont see why people should have such a problem with Israel opening immigration to all jews. Unless of course they just have a problem with jews.

So why not support One State under a democracy for jews and arabs alike ? Why do you want to support exclusivity and hafrada ? Do you have sectarian motives ?

No, I suspect the Muslims who dont consider the koran and hadiths to be "radical writings", is just about ALL the muslims. And I equally expect that the few muslim who do view the koran and hadiths to be "radical writings", are probaly modern, secular muslims for whom religion plays a small role in their life.

They adhere to a strict literal interpretation because salafi Islam dictates that they must.

The muslims and their Islamic doctrine commands them to fight the jews until they are in a state of subjection.

[9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

Half the jewish population of Israel are jews who fled their lives of subjection in Islamic states in the region. I cant fathom any justification for imposing this on the jews who have managed to escape it.

Thank you for an honest acknowledgement that it was not the Arabs who caused the conflict, as most Zionists claim.
But it goes deeper than that. Two-thirds of what became known as the Palestinian refugees had already suffered their exodus by the time that the Arab countries attacked Israel. So it is also another clear Zionist Myth that the Arab war cause the refugee plight.

Are you not just a little bit uncomfortable with this cumulative evidence that the Zionists committed ethnic cleansing in order to create space in their new country to allow for the 'Jewish majority'?

All your examples are of Islam being the State religion of those countries. Christianity is the State religion of many Western countries. That does not make any of them racist.

You are confusing religion with an ethnic (racist) classification. What you fail to appreciate is that Israel does not say that the Jewish religion is the State religion. It says that Israel IS Jewish. Big difference. And THAT is racist by definition.

    Dix-head , once again you're taking quran out of context - I'm no expert /theologian - nore do I think you're are.

The reason Jews "fled " the regions "Islamic states - was a reaction to the Zionists terrorists gangs expulsion of non-Jewish Palestinians - BOTH CHRISTIAN AND MUSLIM - from their ancestral homes - Palestine .

Its without question , if not for the influx of Europe's Zionists influx - arriving with Herzl's plan to create "DER JUDENSTAAT " in a land with a non-Jewish popuation = Palestine - the "Eastern Jews" Sephardim/Mizrahi Jews would still be living side by side with their Arab cousins - as they've done for many centuries before the AshkeNazs (Europes Jews) arrival in the region.

For every action there's a reaction. Go check which came first , Jews fleeing/leaving - neighbouring Arab lands or Europe's Zionists expulsion of non-Jewish Palestinians (Muslim+Christian) from PALESTINE ?

If that was the criteria much of the world uses to delineate a Zionist.......then I'd be getting called one.

Because while I have never felt that the imposition of the Zionists on Palestine ,when it was Europe that trashed the Jews and Europe and America which made little/no effort to take them in before and during WWII, was fair to the Palestinians and should ever have happened, I am realistic enough to see that Israel, at least in the short to medium term is going nowhere.

So I'd prefer to see them doing sensible to attain a longer term future as opposed to digging in their heels until, eventually, as they will, they scuffle themselves into a deep hole from which they can't escape.

However, you are the kind of Zionist who backs Israel right or wrong......who excuses all they do and maintains that Jewish penned fantasy as set out in the Bible gives them extra rights over others because they wrote their own history....who promulgates Zionist propaganda as truth and tries to deflect proven truth with patent personal abuse....and are the kind which loses Israel sympathy daily (which is why I put you on ignore a fair while ago, and only noticed this crap of yours because moon quoted the part of it that made me think you were talking about me!)

As to your immigration crap...that is what it is....because AFAIK, Jordan doesn't turn back everybody but Muslim Arabs, which would be the equivalent of the Jewish immigration policy..and even if they did....when was the last time two wrongs made a right in any but Zionist eyes?

Unless of course they just have a problem with jews is of course the usual empty vessel way of ending a post which was full of crap, by kinda insulting people but keeping the insult just within the rules of the forum.

Without an influx of European jews, their declaration and attempts to establish a state with a tiny population of jews, would have been crushed by a much larger muslim population. The jews living in arab countries wouldnt of had any reason to move from one area dominated by Muslims to another area dominated by Muslims. When the British took over one of the first things they did was to make jewish immigration to 3/4ths of their mandate illegal in transjordan. And then tried to restrict the jewish immigration to the other 1/4th.

And, I suspect all the Jews living in Arab countries that immigrated to Israel in the last 100 years, would have immigrated to europe and America instead. About a third of them did that even with zionism and the creation of Israel.

If Israel were a mental condition, it would, beyond doubt, be paranoid schizophrenia.

    So.

It is rather like asking, can the paranoid schizophrenic make it through life, without totally going into meltdown?

Sadly, the answer is often no.

And when that proves the case, the only answer is to secure the person, for their own safety, and those of others.

A similar outlook can be applied to the Israeli Schizophrenia.

    Snake,

The Bible was written by men according to Jews and Christians. Of course anything written by men can be subject to interpretation and reinterpretation. That's why the Protestant Reformation was possible.

The Holy Quran was written by Allah herself (oops I mean Himself). The word of Allah is fixed in time and space. No Muslim reinterpretation of Allah is possible. Any one who attempts such reinterpretation is a heretic or a blasphemer who must die. That's the deal.

To distinguish from those who so vehemently oppose modern Israel. Especially the muslims who have vowed to eliminate it from existance.

I said "both Arabs and Jews immigrated to the area. Where do you see a myth?". The myth is your strawman.

Yeah, thats my point. You have no problem when it is Christian or Islamic, only when it is Jewish.
