Will the Hunter Biden gun charge prompt the GOP to advocate for background check enforcements?

I could agree to that as long as we also agree that drug test shall be mandatory for any welfare recipient and all officials of the government, whether they are elected officials or bureaucrats.

The average Joe has to piss in a cup just to get a job. And let's make it mandatory that we drug test people to get a driver's license.

We could have periodic drug test for welfare recipients. We actually tried it few years back, but then pulled the plug. Driver license, - sure. As for government officials, they are already subjected to random tests.

I seriously doubt anyone in Congress has had to piss in a cup.

The 4473 is literally the background check initiation form with all relevant information, authorization, and swearing of truth. Stop giving legal advice if you're going to be wrong.

It is unconstitutional, it still should've been applied as it is to any pleb caught dead to rights like him. He should've been required to use his privilege to get the law overturned, using NYSRPA v Bruen, as his lawyers threatened.

Does the law really matter? Hunter just got walk after establishing the fact that he is drug addict, illegally buying a gun and evading over $1 million in income taxes.

Where do think I would be if I did that? If I were lucky, I’d be living in Danbury Federal Prison. Hunter gets off with less than Wesley Snips, Pete Rose and some rapper whose name is not in my brain.

There are three standards of justice. One for Republicans, another for Democrats and a third far easier one for the Biden family.

Why is the case still open in Delaware? It prevents the Republican Congress from getting at the records.

Fetterman should be ineligible to be in office for chasing a black man with a shotgun.
There, are you happy!! I hope so, but here's the thing.......no one cares and they shouldn't.

    Plea deal, still pending.

    https://www.justice.gov/usao-de/pr/tax-and-firearm-charges-filed-against-robert-hunter-biden

"Hunter Biden has been charged with two misdemeanor tax offenses and a felony firearm offense and has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to the tax offenses and enter into a pre-trial diversion agreement with regard to the firearm charge at a proceeding to be scheduled by the assigned United States District Court judge."

So it looks like he's going to walk away with out a felony conviction on his record.

    Hardly his life being ruined.

He's pleading guilty to the felony charge. Did you not read the article? Perhaps you are unaware that pleading guilty means it goes on his permanent record.

It said entering into a pretrial diversion agreement on the gun charge. That generally means that adjudication will be withheld.

Hardly his life being ruined like you claimed. If you call this his life being ruined.... What do you call that rapper who got several years in prison for the same offense?

Exactly the same? Please provide a link.

Joe Biden has done nothing to influence the DOJ on any of Hunter's crimes. It was Trump's DOJ who investigated initially, and Biden could have stopped that investigation, but didn't.

I'm not wrong. Not only am I a gun customer but I was a gun dealer in the past. You are the one who is wrong. The only background check takes a minute over the telephone. If the person doesn't answer all the questions properly on the form, the phone call won't be made and the customer won't get a gun. You can call it a screen for the dealer but it doesn't have anything to do with a background check. I gave no legal advice. I explained what happens in a gun transaction. Stop going where you have no relevant information.

The Republicans will continue to do what they have always advocated for and that is apply the law to the crime committed.. There is already a law on the books that makes it illegal for drugs users to possess firearms. The interesting part is Democrats are more than happy to hold people accountable under the laws governing gun usage. Why didn't they apply the law to Hunter? This makes Democrats and their tough on gun crime look asinine. Everyone knows why Hunter skated on the gun charge.

Democrats no longer have a leg to stand on when they push for stricter laws against gun crimes.

Because of your love for all things Democrat you are following in lock step with the party in ignoring Biden's criminal activities. Party above country. The world comes first.

Hey, didn't you read my opening post? I stated that I didn't care if they locked up Hunter for 10 years, the max for the possession of a gun while being a controlled substance user. Of course, instead of reading, it is much easier to project.

Now, how about your devotion to Trump, despite all of his criminal activity?

I actually believe that if you are a drug user you should not have guns. However, that’s already the law. What they need to do is enforce it. So let’s see how much democrats actually care about already enforcing current laws with hunter. My guess is they won’t enforce it like they should.
