Our per capita death rate is below most of Europe's, deaths are under predictions, no overwhelmed hospitals, no ventilator shortages......where's the fail? Maybe you can tell me of a European nation whose economy isn't suffering now?

This virus will percolate though global populations, no matter who is in charge.

There's a reason they don't even try to answer it.

Give em time, they will find a way to link Trump to them as well, and again claim he did nothing to prevent those from happening as well.

Heck I weeds growing in my grass, which they would blame on Trump.

Haters gotta hate and hate shuts out reason and fact.

    From the above link

"In certain political circles, it has apparently become important to knock Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

One prominent article at RealClearPolitics argues that in January, Fauci told the public not to worry about the novel coronavirus and that “the administration’s initial reassurances were largely aligned with the assessments of the medical community,” specifically Fauci.

This is not true, and the contention rests on misrepresenting Fauci’s comments.

“On Jan. 21,” writes Kalev Leetaru, Fauci "emphasized that it was unclear whether the virus could spread from person to person.” This is the opposite of what Fauci said, according to the article linked. “While it's clear this new virus can be spread from person to person,” the piece paraphrases Fauci, “it's unclear how easily that spread can happen.”

On the subject of accepting a surrender:

I've asked this a dozen-plus-one times, with no reasoned, supportable response.
This time will surely be no different.

Absent the benefit of hindsight, and therefore knowing only what was known at the time:
What else should Trump have done?
    When?
    Why?

    Well?

There was no "false flag event" involving the Gulf of Tonkin.

The August 4th, 1964 Gulf of Tonkin was the one that did not occur. LBJ himself doubted it.

But the August 2nd, 1964 attack on a U.S. destroyer by North Vietnamese torpedo boats definitely did happen. The North Vietnamese admitted to it both at the time and years later.

Thank you for surrendering, at least now you understand the importance or reading an entire thread before requesting something, that has already been provided for you, something you would have found if you took the time to read the entire thread, versus demanding posters re-post what you failed to take the time to read.

Yup. I heard a TDS afflicted reporter ask the gotcha question, I'll paraphrase "Mr. President, isn't it true that South Korea has done more testing, per capita, than the US has done?"

This of course was a question designed to refute the facts when Trump says the USA has done more testing than any other nation. The TDS afflicted just cannot allow Trump to get away with relating some good news for the USA, they need to knock it down. Trump told the reporter that we had in fact done more testing per capita than South Korea, and he handed the question off the Dr. Brix, who related the specific facts to back up Trump.

The news reporters are always asking questions worded in a way that the hope will result in an answer which either paints Trump or the USA in a bad light, or at least make another country look to be superior to the US in some way.

Trump fixed the FDA rule which prohibited private companies from performing testing.

Trump fixed the FDA reg which prohibited masks from being used by medical personnel, even though they worked just as well

Trump fixed the copyright reg which prohibited manufacturing of specific ventilators

Trump fixed the FDA rule which prevents HCQ from being prescribed for treatment of COVID

Trump fixed the lack of PPE in the national stockpile by authorizing and even mandating that some companies start producing PPE and ventilators

    Etc...

And more and more people are seeing through their tracing paper thin bias and giving credibility to Trump, most Americans tend to side with those who are being bullied versus the bully, while the press thinks, with their gotcha questions they are undermining Trump, reality is they are digging their own grave and Trump toss's them a larger shovel one in a while.

It's a hatred mentality, and it blinds them to the world around them and to the audience they are viewer by viewer pissing away and with that advertising dollars, which is what they live or die on.

I don't see the comparison here. Vietnam was a voluntary(on the part of the politicians) endeavor. The threat to the country was hardly able to be substantiated even then, let alone today.

Donald Trump didn't choose to fight COVID-19 like we did the communists in Vietnam. None of us did.

I know. We just went thru a week of the left slamming Trump, telling him he does not have the Constitutional powers to order states to open their economies and allow their citizens to return to work. And yet.... the same people will claim Trump should have closed down our economy, and even banned Americans from traveling where they want on trips for business or pleasure.

Just for some context. COVID-19 deaths in the USA per 100,000 was 17, on April 28th.

Coronavirus is in the news, but what do most Americans die of?

For example, the age-adjusted death rate for accidents (a large portion of which is drug overdoses) in West Virginia in 2018 was 90.3 deaths per 100,000 people. That’s four times the death rate in Massachusetts (20.2).

LOL! Trump's experts are the experts at the CDC and NIH.
Do you think Trump should have fired them and sealed the borders? ;-)

DP party bosses and our experts sure did help the CCP spread the Wuhan Coronavirus in the US.

"That was not the only time Dr. Fauci made such a misleading statement. In an unearthed audio from January 26, Dr. Fauci assured Americans that the coronavirus is nothing to worry about. “The American people should not be worried or frightened by this. It’s a very, very low risk to the United States,” Dr. Fauci said on The CATS Roundtable John Catsimatidis. Dr. Fauci added:“It isn’t something that the American public needs to worry about or be frightened about.” Notwithstanding what Dr. Fauci had said, U.S. President Trump decided to issue a travel ban five days later."
TECHSTARTUPS, Did public health officials mislead us? ‘Coronavirus is not a major threat for the people in United States, and this is not something the citizens should be worried about,’ Dr. Fauci said on January 21, By TechStartups Team, APRIL 12, 2020.
