    Yes.

They had the hope that crippling the Pacific Fleet would be enough to keep the US out.

The logic made sense at face value considering most of the US wanted nothing to do with another war in Europe, and especially not o me in Asia.

Get more than skin deep though and they would have realized that our sanctions on them showed the willingness of the executive branch to be involved and that meaning the US was willing to get involved.

What in the world does your comment have to do with what I said?

I literally just stated that I don't believe sanctions could hurt Russia that much more and that they really wouldn't care. Then followed it up by saying that basically the damage had already been done, supporterted by posters even here on this forum.

Then you come out of left field with a random statement and random poll.

It's amazing how neither side actually listens to anything anyone actually says, they already have a pre-programmed answer in their head that they will respond with no matter what.

That is the concpiratorial answer, not gonna open up that can of worms. But at the heart of the govnerment is the We The People, and the majority of We think that the major slight wit Russia is the Crimea.

We made a promise to Ukraine, we have to keep that promise or our treaties mean nothing overall. As stated several times now, I would be ok with some type of referendum by the UN to go over the decision to see if sanctions can be released.

The new Democratic hatred however, has thrown a huge wrench in the machine, now in the US, if you do not literally hate Russia, you are attacked by the Left

    Hope you are trained!

I fight a lot in the cage and you can honestly tell a lot about a persons fighting style by their country of origin.

Russians tend to be 100% all out, until they gas out. If they catch you in that initial flurry window you are F'd

You were talking about a revolt. That is unlikely.

Also, I would say that previous sanctions have made them stronger in that they are more self sufficient. The reason they cannot be hurt isnt because they had been hurt as much as they can already but because they don't have a 'globalist' economy, are self sufficient and have access to resources within their own nation.

Impossible, even. We historically learned the harsh way what revolutions lead to. They weaken country, they leave it vulnerable. The democratic government we established after February Revolution have managed to survive only for literally eight months, before it was overthrown by Bolshevik coup. On top of that we have a lucid example of Ukraine, that experienced a coup in 2014 that removed the active president and parlament from the office.

Considering that there is less than a year until presidental elections there will be no revolt, no coup, no any sort of rebellion. We refuse, we forbid to ourselves to ever again inflict such madness on our state and on ourselves. We will create new future through democracy, not through murder.

It does not get more naive than your statement. The USA tries to influence other country's elections and every major country does so. Ukraine outright tried to do so in collusion with the Clinton campaign. Espionage and spying, interference and secretly trying to influence other governments is as old as there have been countries.

So you are pissed off at ageless reality? At what has always happened between countries for thousands of years? 100% selectively too?

It is naive to believe the sanctions have anything to do with the election or Ukraine. They are about money, insider jobs and insider power. Do you even know what the sanctions are?

In the short term, this will pour hundreds of billions in profits to the oil industry, defense industry, Monsanto with GMOs and given massive power to the Deep State. In the long run the economic and foreign relations of the USA will be severely and permanently damaged. American super rich will get super richer out of this. The price you pay for a cup of coffee or Big Mac is going to increase more and more as a result. In the end, the rest of the world, from the EU to Russia to China, across the M.E., Balkins and North Africa, and S. America - all will tell the USA to go to hell, your money is no longer any good.

American politicians no longer think of the future. They think of their next election and how to get the payoffs to win it. The long term future or the fate of us little people? Absolutely irrelevant to anything.

Russia did not cause Clinton to lose. The intelligence community did. When the top commander of the USA military pointed out that Clinton was going order a REAL WAR with Russia, it doomed her. There was not a chance in hell they would have allowed her to become president. Wikileaks documents proved absolutely that the USA intelligence community does all their hacking, spying and leaking to make it appear as if done by Russians.

It is sadly humorous that the same people who brought us Vietnam and both Iraq wars, and the same people who destroyed/eliminated Hilary Clinton, are now the heroes of the Democratic Party for blocking Trump making peace with Russia.

You REALLY don't realize how much you are being punked and chumped? Do you really, I mean REALLY, believe that RUSSIA force FBI Director Comey to go before the cameras 10 days before the election to trash Hilary Clinton on behalf of the FBI worse than if he had said the matter is being referred to the Obama's A.G. for review and it not his place to say whether there is a case or not - which would have killed the story - rather than politically killed Clinton?

Team Comey, which includes team Mueller and team CIA & NSA destroyed Hilary Clinton having already taken the Senate and House of Representatives from the Democrats - and the people who did that are now your CHAMPIONS and HEROES. Will believe anything they say, even without a name attached.

It is amazing how easily so many people - Democrat and Republican - are controlled as if puppets on a string.

You are right. The Japanese misread the United States.

On the one hand, many Americans wanted to stay out of foreign wars. On the other hand, we embargo steel and oil to Japan when they walked into IndoChina. If they thought the will to stay out was stronger than the will to get in, they were wrong.

I stated that if they haven't revolted yet, they won't

You, exactly like I claimed, jumped to conclusion for no reason whatsoever. I very common and childish tactic I am afraid

    Y
ou are putting sweaty hands on a table at which NO ONE should be Playing
Russia will NOT surrender its Sovereignty - America already has to Corporations
...........................................................................& banks that are "Too Big To Fail"

You underestimate the calculus of Russian Paranoia - compared to American Hubris
........................................ ..................a DANGEROUS combo of Flammables & Matches
......................................................................................only Idiots play with matches in small rooms filled with explosives

Russia knows & comprehends its strategic disadvantage all too clear
There is only one address to that, other that complete surrender
Especially considering US doctrine "First Strike" seems to be taking shape

U.S. First Strike Advantage Heightens Risk Of Nuclear War: Polanyi
    https://www.thestar.com/opinion/com...ge-heightens-risk-of-nuclear-war-polanyi.html

US will use their "First Strike Threats" to carry a Big Stick and make Dioplo Points
Russia will use their "First Strike" there will be NO THREATS

Maybe you should have another look at that upside down flag you sport - What does it mean ???
