A groce and probably deliberate misinterpretation of what I wrote

I'm indeed a pacifist. And I see it as part of my mission not to let the message of Christ die in the "friendly fire" of those who claim to be His soldiers.

Just like me now correcting your spelling. The word is "gross", not "groce". In both of your suggested probabilities, you are incorrect.

By all means defend the message of Christ, but when making that defense, be certain.

well, that is where we are wired different.

Ignoring problems does not make problems go away. And anyone who is deranged anough to call 'me' a rapist, is doing the same thing to many other people.

Generally speaking, the only way to get ride of a problem is to confront it. Other rationally, and reasonably, disagree. I am wired the way I am, Its why I became a Soldier in the first place - someone has to defend those who cannot defend themselves.

And the real problem? When something like that happens, the entire community should be pointing out how immature and wrong it it, even laughing at it.

Far too often, when I see abuse like that being hurled ... I see silence instead.

Someone has to stand up. God made me strong and intelligent, honorable. he also made me thick headed and Irish. It seems I was well designed for that role. ;-)

Thanks for correcting my spelling - that's one of the darned words I always spell wrong. Just like I'll probably never get the pronunciation of "clothes" right. I'll keep on trying *sigh*

As for my suggested probabilities: at least one of them is certainly right. I should know how to interpret my own writings, wouldn't you agree?

    I am.

Nothing wrong with being Irish. I lived in Dublin for a year and I loved it. :-D

Yes! I would agree that you should be able to more properly interpret your own writings better than anyone else. Therefore, it also becomes necessary that you express your views in such a manner that there is no ambiguity left for someone to take notice of. Perhaps that is what has happened.

Then please explain why there remains a potentially single point of dispute remaining in our conversation.

God made the Irish too

The best point from a religious person I've ever seen.

As long as the religious does not use science or ANYTHING else than her religion to make arguments pertaining to her religion then neither science nor ANYTHING else than her religion can be used to counter her argument.

Once she does use science or anything else, however, then she's only begging to get what she's putting out for.

Because you said so? On that same token, science then should stay completely out of discussions pertaining to religion or anything else.

Agh, if only atheists had teh rational ability to read the entirety of the post and not ripe things out of context to insult people.

Junobet clearly indicated that it is hard to use science against him because, just like me, he accepts evolution and the rest of sceince. Sortta makes it hard to say we don't accept it based on our religion doesn't it?

Not that an atheist would acknoweldge this point though.

Instead, not only do we repeatedly have atheists tell us that we MUST, MUST I TELL YOU, accept Creationism in a literalist interpretation, but we are also being told, even deilberately out of context, that we continue to reject science.

The only one rejecting rationality, again, are the atheists.

    Why ?

I think science can support religion and vice versa.

The Bible says to seek knowledge and I agree.

I think it is those that have religious beliefs built on weak a weak foundation that feel compelled to deny science because it challenges their beliefs.

My religious beliefs are not challenged at all by Science.

Do you think God wants us to be mindless followers and not search for the Truth ?

Do you think that God does not want you to question your beliefs ?

More drivel and another attempt to stay off-topic. What does anything you say below have to do with the subject of this thread? Anything?

LOL ... It was you that brought science into the thread

Did my comment hit a little close to the bone ?

If the foundation for ones beliefs is so easily shaken then perhaps one should change ones beliefs.

Jesus says to build your foundation on Rock .. not sand

    Wise words methinks.

    Prove your claim.

Your comments are laughable. If they came close to the bone, they only came close to the 'funny bone'.

What foundations have been shaken. I am simply tired of your BS. You have not even attempted to show any PROOF of the claims which I have challenged you on.

    And I have.

Yeah... you should pay heed to them and show the PROOF of your claims.

You did bring science into the thread !

Uhh huh .. that is why you are comming up with such intelligent responses.

What are you blubbering about ? You do not accept any proof other that that which comes from your daily conversations with the Holy Spirit.

I am not the Holy Spirit so how could I possibly prove anything to you ?

Nevertheless .. your inability to respond shows your foundations are shaken.

Sand .. you have to deny Science, History, Archeaology, Philosphy, and Logic in order to maintain your beliefs.

It is clear that your foundation is challenged by each of these disciplines so you have to deny their ligitimacy in order to maintain the legitimacy of your beliefs.

Correct the error in your quote function. Then I will respond.

There is no error. Just evasion of the Truth on your part which is more proof of your need to deny reality in order to maintain your beliefs.

No evasion. You simply went back and corrected them, so now they appear corrected.

Do them right the first time and that sort of problem won't happen. Strange, the only time that problem happens is when you are faced with a challenge to your claims ,,, then suddenly your posting show up with altered quote function markers.

Now repeat the questions you had and I will answer (as long as the quote function is not altered again).

"1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned."

Guess what role you play in that verse of scripture.

Obviously, with that shortcoming of yours, you cannot prove anything. Besides that, you already admitted several pages back that you cannot prove that Jesus did any of the things that He is claimed to have done.

My inability to respond? Gee, it looks like I am responding quite well when you don't try to alter the quote function.

How little you know about me. Ignorance of the subject matter, the subject matter being me. That is your problem.

    Then PROVE their "legitimacy".

Not quite as bad as yours which is strewn about by the changing winds of time.

And your reply shows me you live in Fairytail land!

LOL! Not being Christian - doesn't make one evil! Why don't you ask your pastor?

Nor does one need to be Christian or any other religion - to translate ancient texts. All one needs is an interest in such texts, and knowledge of the language used.

You are obviously speaking through ignorance of the subject matter, the subject matter being me and where I live.

Did I say evil? No? My goodness, another misrepresentation of what I said. No wonder you are having such a problem with translations. BTW: I don't have a pastor, because I don't go to any of the incorporated churches.

Perhaps.. However,, when dealing with the ancient Hebrew, one certainly does need to know what vowels were used and where those vowels were rightfully placed. Hang in there with that 'vowel problem'.

I was raised Christian and realized it is a false religion (in my opinion.)

Any religion that says God murders people just because they are of a different understanding of "God" is a false religion.

And because a carefull reading of the Bible shows it to be full of the most horrible things done in the name of God! Murder, rape, infanticide, slavery, etc.

You keep assuming I haven't read the Bible! I have - how do you think I can bring up all those verses and the rebuttle so quickly?
