lmfao. My husband is white...he's extremely attractive, has a phD and has a very, very lucrative career. I watch women starting at him in public with amusement....I can hardly blame them. My husband is the most charming, loyal, and kind person I've ever met in my life.

He married me...an interracial woman...because I share his ambition. I'm educated and I work extremely hard. Together we've had two drop-dead gorgeous, brilliant, humane children and have amassed an amazing life. We have the same goals both in our family and for the things we do outside of our family.

I'd bet that our lifestyle, financial statements and homes would probably dwarf yours. So much for your idiotic stereotypes and bigotry huh?

Usually when people talk like that, there is some amount of exaggeration however slight, it is also strange and a bit creepy to see a parent talk about their children as mere objects or in a manner, Sexualization.

What can you do if your child is sleeping with a member of a different race? Not much if that child is an adult. Nor should you want to do anything about it. Because it's none of your business.
Now, if the child is a minor, that different. Minors shouldn't be having sex anyway.

 

I'm a gay white male, who goes to a school where white people are at about 20% of the population. If I restricted my dating habits to my own race, I would have a very, very small pool of people.

In terms of a hypothetical (likely adopted) child, I would probably have adopted a child from one of the more dispossessed areas of Asia in the first place, so of course I wouldn't prevent them from dating someone from any race they want. If they wanted to date one of the sorts of people who act 'Gangsta' (note the letter a), I would, of course, object, but I've known plenty of intellectual African Americans, and plenty of white people who act with much more degeneracy than aforementioned white people. One of my best friend's parents immigrated from Ethiopia, and she's one of the most sophisticated, polite individuals I know. In contrast, my aunt's former husband, who was white, stole quite a few of her belongings and married a woman that he knocked up, who then sent said aunt several uncouth text messages. You have wonderful black people, horrible white people, and vise versa; if there are any tendencies there, they don't matter in terms of the individual.

I had a momentary lapse of reason.

 

For me, I would do the same thing I would do if I found out my child was sleeping with anyone of any race.

Figure out if that person is a good person or not. If all I know is that the race of the person is not the same race as my family, I have no information towards my goal. I might as well not even know the race thing, because it's meaningless. That tells me literally nothing about the person.

 

I'm serious. What sane parent would even notice a racial difference, other than in the way you might notice a particular shirt etc? It's bizarre and terrifying that there are adults out there who are so isolated from reality that they think it's 'unusual'. I just now had to really think hard to count the number of mixed race relationships and kids in my extended family. Of the three siblings in my own immediate family (as in, birth family), none of us has a partner of the same race/culture. Going out a step or two to cousins etc, there are a sprinkling of monocultural relationships, but they're not in the majority. Even my parents-in-law, who are in their 80s, are a mixed race couple ... and that's on my husband's side.

 

lol....I'm not a financial dependent. If my husband had a billion dollar, I'd still work...it wouldn't be my money or my achievement.

I'm not a woman who leeches off a man for money. I was raised to have a strong work ethic and have the pride of self-reliance and I've taught my girl children the same thing.
